Now, "not being unique" means: where there is no connection with either side, it is impossible to arise from a single boundary, that is its meaning. Not abiding in a single boundary, but like that, dividing the divided parts, dividing the collection of those abiding in multiple parts, and then immediately taking from the division of the boundary, therefore, this acts like a key. If the bridge is strong, then that is the place itself, meaning: here the scripture says, can a monk pass from the boundary of water? It is not permissible to pass nearby. If the bridge is strong, then it is permissible, thus it is said. Similarly, "the returner also follows," where "that" refers to the bridge. If the bridge is damaged, what should be done? Therefore it is said, "not abandoning the connection," meaning, what does it mean for the returner not to abandon the connection? If the connection is not abandoned for a long time, will the returner also follow? Therefore it is said, "after that, within seven days, it will not follow," meaning, it should be combined with "not following." Space is interrupted in the middle, so if it does not even have the name of existence, how can there be a connection? Where "that" refers to space. Land and its related parts can also be, for both of these, it is not connected by a single boundary. Here, the space existing inside the house is also not entering the boundary, nor is it uniqueness, because it is like that here, so it does that. Here the scripture says, can a monk do together with those existing in space and those existing in doubt? It is not permissible to pass nearby, what is said and anything wide and related to it is included in that. It is not allowed to delineate the boundary from the center beyond the edge of three and a half yojanas, meaning, within the edge of three and a half yojanas, what is said and unsaid, if it exceeds this range, there will be no downfall, this shows this. Monk, what is the size of the great boundary? Nearby is three and a half yojanas. Monk, can more than three and a half yojanas be used as a boundary? Nearby it is not allowed, thus it is said. There, what speaks of this size is...

It is said that this is a collection of what was said by Upali. The so-called "below and above are connected to solid objects, just like a foundation," refers to the fact that at the edge of half and three measurements, whether it is land, stone, walls, trees, or other substances connected to solid objects, they exist within the boundary as if they have a foundation. This is a statement about the great boundary. It should be understood according to how it is written elsewhere. Similarly, for the mandala, anything related to other units of measurement does not belong to it. Completely removing these, it should not be considered to have arisen from the boundary. The so-called "land without a defined boundary will not form an inseparable permission," refers to the object to which the inseparable permission is directed in an artificially set place, and therefore this is explained. Starting from "request" and ending with "therefore it will not be damaged." The so-called "if it is destroyed, it will be damaged," refers to the fact that the damage is freed from the division of the boundary. If it is damaged in that way, the inseparable permission will also be damaged. The so-called "therefore it will not be damaged," refers to the fact that the inseparable permission is damaged, and the division of the boundary will not be damaged. In places such as stupas, temples, clean rooms, courtyards, and practice places, cleaning should be done. The cleaning mentioned here refers to the fact that if a place such as a house, courtyard, or pond is cleaned, it should be known that this is considered cleaning. This is a misquote from the Mother Sutra, and it should start from "patient" and end with "place," and "offering," etc. These scriptures are quoted from "request." The so-called "offering intentions to the Sangha is equivalent to offering," refers to offering intentions to individuals, etc., which is the offering mentioned in prose. Therefore, some people may doubt whether offering to the Sangha is equivalent to not offering, therefore, in order to correct this view, these things are said. No matter from which aspect, it should be said. The so-called "from that," refers to from the Sangha. Wherever it is, the things offered to it will exist. The so-called "it should be said," refers to the intentions offered to the Sangha, etc. So, this statement
