And, it should be surrounded by ponds. When thorns on the land are surrounded by ponds, those who are hesitant and do not believe will say, is this a garden filled with seeds? Or is it an apple orchard? From here to the content spoken about building a hut, this sutra summarizes it. Therefore, since it is about the situation of a hut, build a hut near the village and so on. So, what is its shape like? Therefore, it is said to leave an alley between two dwellings. That is, build a dwelling on one side, and build another on the other side, leaving an alley in between. This is the shape of a small hut. Connected to leaving an alley in the middle, build five dwellings on one side, and five on the other side, leaving an alley in between, or build six on one side, and six on the other side, leaving a space in between. This is the shape of a large hut. These two huts, one is small and one is large. The small one is the one with two dwellings, leaving an alley in between. Here, the large one is said to have ten dwellings or twelve dwellings. The middle one is placed separately. This is not unreasonable, because it is to illustrate with two examples. The method of making the door leaf soundless and straight is also connected to building. From the appearance of "building a gatehouse" below, everything is connected to this. First, what is said by the word "build" is only expressing the meaning of "do" here. Here, if you want to enter, if it is not the meaning of poverty, then if not, how should you enter by wanting to manifest?

pa. Handles should be installed for the noble ones. When distinguishing, from the noisy sound to what the Bhagavan said, such as wrapping with cloth, these have all been summarized. Among them, the method called not making a sound refers to placing leather pieces underneath, and wrapping with cloth, these have all been summarized. The method called being upright refers to installing handles from both inside and outside, which has been summarized. Leaving one-third at the top, it is also good for the star window to be narrow on the outside and wide on the inside. Regarding this, the top refers to leaving one-third of the upper part of the wall, and it is good to create a star window on either side where two-thirds remain. If it is low, thieves, evildoers, and lions will enter. If it is high, the light will not be bright. These were done for the purpose of leaving one-third at the top. That is because it is accomplished for worldly people. Nets, door leaves, crossbars, sky nails, rotating bolts, and wooden pegs should be placed close to dry places, and should be combined with this. With this, crows, swallows, and jackdaws enter, and the Bhagavan said, the star window should have a net. Bees (梵文天城体:त्र्यैमाबुक,梵文罗马拟音:tryaimabuka,汉语字面意思:three-eyed hole) and (梵文天城体:त्र्येलाका,梵文罗马拟音:tryelākā,汉语字面意思:three pieces) enter, and the Bhagavan said, door leaves should be installed. After the wind blows it open, the Bhagavan said, crossbars should be installed. After it is difficult to cut, the Bhagavan said, sky nails and rotating bolts should be installed. After it is difficult to open, the Bhagavan said, wooden pegs should be placed close to dry places, these have all been summarized here. The word "nets" is added with the word "of" to indicate small holes. If it doesn't fit, a large house should be built on top. Or it is said to be upstairs, among which, a large house refers to the top of the mud houses. If the size of the mud house does not match the size of the mud houses, then a house should not be built on top, meaning it is larger than other houses. Some sutras say that if those do not fit there, then a second-story building should be built on top, and there is no contradiction between these two, so they are summarized in this sutra. A staircase is made for climbing, it should be done.

In order to climb for work, therefore, it means to make a ladder there. In order not to fall, it should be surrounded by railings. In order not to move it, it should be nailed with iron nails, because those railings are difficult to climb, the Blessed One taught: Make a ladder. After falling, surround it with railings. After it moved, the Blessed One taught: Nail it with iron nails, these words are summarized by this. Outside, make a large meditation room or rows of residences, etc., this is to follow the word "make", so the word "also" is said. Here, the word "also" is to summarize both words. Monastics do this not to be invisible to each other, the rows of residences, etc., also, as before, to summarize both words, so the word "also" is said. Do not install the door directly in front of the door, because those doors will make noise and be visible to each other, the Blessed One taught: Move the door and then install it, these words are summarized by this. If the outside rain immediately gets wet, that is what is being said. Even so, there will be no fault inside. Therefore, it is different from this and should be attributed to words that apply to both. Make a gatehouse, meaning the meditation room should have a gatehouse. Also make a cave, meaning near the meditation room, it should be understood from the chapters showing those related rituals. In order to sit, make earthen platforms and chairs, meaning the word "make" should be used with both of these words. It is better to surround it with four cubits around it, meaning each side of the square should be one cubit in size. There are five kinds of cushions, meaning to use on top of the chair. Of Munja grass, of hemp cloth, of coarse cloth, of cotton cloth, and of thin bamboo, because it is recognized as suitable, know that they themselves are recognized. Know that the prohibition of using its ropes, etc. Sew the cushions with inferior ropes.
