Drawing images that are not of sentient beings is also permissible, and this should be done in a secluded place. The mention of 'images that are not of sentient beings' includes petals, sprouts, and so on. Therefore, drawing refers to the act of drawing itself. Thus, drawing means drawing in order to write. Therefore, if one begins to draw, it will be sinful, but it will not be sinful for images that are not of sentient beings. The occasion of following has already been explained. The occasion of following, other than the occasion of death and the occasion of placement, is complete. Now, entering the occasion of death and the occasion of placement is different, so for a disciple who has transformed in this way, what should be done at death should be stated: conduct similar to Brahma, offerings should be made to the body of the deceased. It should be cremated. Here, the scripture says that the body should be offered to and then cremated. Is it only cremation that should be done? Therefore, if it is with living beings and without wounds, it should also be determined by separate observation, that is, observing whether it has life or not. Here, is cremation the only way? Therefore, it is mentioned to dig or cast into the river, that is, to put the corpse into a dug pit or cast it into the river. If it is not allowed, it should be placed in the middle of a dense forest, because if a hundred living beings are cremated, many living beings will die. In what manner should it be placed? Therefore, it is mentioned to lie down on the right side with the head facing north. A bundle of grass should be placed under the pillow. Cover with grass or leaves. Dharma should be listened to and merits should be spoken. Those who have touched should bathe with their clothes on. Others should wash their feet, which refers to those who have not touched the corpse. One should prostrate to the stupa and enter. There are two types of stupas: those with rooms and those like pillars. This is from the Mother Tantra. This is suitable for those who have renounced, referring to that stupa. Is it suitable for all? Therefore, it is mentioned 'if it is virtuous,' that is, connected to renunciation.

If individual ordinary people are virtuous, then a stupa without a spire should be built, so it is said. This sutra is for those who only accomplish virtue other than the noble ones. If it is said that the forms of the Buddhas are all, then if one wants to know what those forms are, one should explain, therefore, the forms are the four steps, petals, round plate, tree of life, and thirteen umbrellas and rain needles, which refers to all the complete forms of the stupa. The stupa of the Pratyekabuddhas does not have rain needles, which means that among those forms, only the rain needles are missing. That is also said for the sake of being alone like a rhinoceros, but if practicing in a sangha, it should be understood like the ritual of an Arhat. Here the text says that the Pratyekabuddhas do not have rain needles. The stupa of the Shravakas, the number of umbrellas is increased by the number of fruits, here the text says that the Arhat has five umbrellas, the Non-Returner has four umbrellas, the Once-Returner has three umbrellas, and the Stream-Enterer has two umbrellas. The so-called "that" refers to "that" of that umbrella. The umbrella of the complete stupa refers to the umbrella that is specially distinguished from the remaining umbrellas, such an idea can also be seen. Here the fruits refer to the Stream-Enterer and so on. It means that no matter how many fruits are obtained, one more umbrella should be added than the corresponding number. If in most cases, for those who are free from desire and those who are free from desire for the desire realm, there is no other one or two fruits obtained, then it should also be regarded as obtaining the fruit that should be abandoned by obtaining the unpolluted. If asked in which direction the stupa of the Shravakas should be built, therefore it is said, in the land of the direction that the Tathagata faces, wherever they live, it should be built around there. That is to say, which are the four directions of the stupa of the Tathagata, if those places are the land, then if those Shravakas who have obtained the fruits, if entering the direction of the Tathagata becomes the land, then build the stupa in that direction.
