Wu. One who has taken full ordination as a Bhikshu, not concealing a transgression they possess, is indeed (not at fault). For one who has lost the ability to be referred to in conventional terms, there is no arising of transgressions from Parajika downwards. That is to say, for those whose consciousness is impaired, such as the insane and mentally disturbed, who can be referred to in conventional terms, there is no arising of transgressions from Parajika downwards. By mentioning "downwards," it is shown that all transgressions do not arise. Moreover, the word "also" indicates the continuation of not concealing. Here, in the phrase "from Parajika downwards," the word "downwards" here means completely inclusive. The statement "transgressions from Parajika downwards also do not arise" means that all transgressions do not arise. For what is not prescribed, also (not at fault), the word "also" is mentioned to follow "they do not incur transgressions from Parajika downwards." Here, the scripture states that there is no transgression for the initial practitioner. For one who does not know, it is not (not at fault), that is, for one who does not know "this is a transgression," it is not that transgressions do not arise, but they definitely arise. Here, the scripture states, "The venerable one is not liberated by not knowing; whatever transgression arises, it should be dealt with according to the Dharma," which is summarized here. For one who does not have faith, also (not at fault), it should be connected with "it is also not that it does not arise." Hearing the recitation and the telling, and "this is a transgression," for one who does not have faith, transgressions will definitely arise. For one who perceives as not knowing, also (not at fault), it should be connected with "it is also not that it does not arise," for those who recite and tell, thinking "this is a child, so they don't understand anything," disrespecting their words, and perceiving them as not knowing, for transgressions, even for one who does not have faith, transgressions will definitely arise. These are not the causes for transgressions not arising. Here, the scripture states, "A Bhikshu who desires to know everything should also train in this training." For one who dwells in another place

English

"Being prior" means reproaching, rejoicing, denouncing, despising, expelling, rebuking, and instructing to dwell elsewhere, which is "being prior." Thus, only downfall arises, not that "being prior" concealment does not arise, but it does arise. Therefore, it means that both concealment and downfall arise. In concealment, having doubt about the Sangha residue is like knowing. It means to associate doubt with being like consciousness. If, in the object of concealment, one conceals while having doubt about the Sangha residue, it is like concealing while knowing the Sangha residue, and it becomes the fault of concealment. Where concealment does not arise, practice is also the same, meaning those mentioned such as not having received full ordination, expulsion, and loss of the idea of being able to speak, are referred to here as the word "place." Just as they are not fields for the arising of concealment, so too are they not fields for practices such as abiding. Similarly, for those who have not concealed, just as concealment does not arise here, so too for practices such as moving out, it is the same, therefore this is shown. If one abandons practice out of disrespect, it is a misdeed. It means that if one abandons the practice of abiding and rejoicing out of disrespect, it becomes a misdeed. If one abandons it out of fear of arising conflict, there is no fault. In that, the retinue of that one especially practices, "in that" means in the one who moves and rejoices. "The retinue of that one" means whoever's retinue practices, that is the retinue of that one. At the time of practicing abiding and rejoicing, "the retinue of that one" means that if an object belonging to the retinue of the Sangha residue, or a grave offense, or especially committing a misdeed, it also becomes the meaning of a misdeed. If one has it but does not repent later, it is also the same, meaning that for what can be taken, because there is, etc., there is a way to remedy it later, if one does not repent later for moving out and downfall, at each dawn, it becomes each misdeed. Coming out from a place of non-practice is the state of that one. It means in what state, the object of practices such as moving out, not having received full ordination, etc.

Therefore, in order to obtain, going to a place where adjusting and contentment are not practiced, in order to accomplish a place of practice, this itself is a situation accompanied by downfall, that is its meaning. "On the basis of purification, continue to complete the remainder," meaning: My downfall's noun is this, the kind is this, how long the time of concealing or not concealing, therefore I have taken this use, this has been used for how long. How long is the remainder? For what is used, completely used, the Sangha to rely on, by understanding it, on the basis of purification, what unused remainder needs to be completed? For whatever remainder is there, it should be used, that is its meaning. Here, the scripture says that if a person who fully abides wanders after purifying how much of the basis, and returns and receives ordination, confesses the prohibited transgressions that violate the Vinaya, for a fully abiding person to become fully abiding, then for a fully abiding person it will become fully abiding. "If the time of concealment is not known, one should rely on what does not become less," meaning: For a downfall that is concealed, if the definite time is not known, I concealed this downfall until this time, for not knowing the definite time of concealment, one should rely on a time that does not become less in any way, that is, for as long as the time that does not become less. "For what should be used, it is the distinction of the boundary of purity," meaning: It should be combined with that place for as long as the time that does not become less. Here, that time relies on two meanings, namely concealment and the very thing that should be used. "The very thing that should be used," meaning: One should fully abide until this time. For concealment, it relies on both the time of fully abiding and the time of contentment. For the very thing that should be used, it only relies on the time of fully abiding, it does not rely on the time of contentment, because in this way the time is definite. If one does not know how to rely on the time of the distinction of the boundary of purity that does not become less, then, therefore, the boundary of purity is four months, that is its meaning.
