In the very absence of conducive conditions, it is said to be like having committed an action. "That" refers to rectification. In the very absence of the condition of exertion, "end" refers to the moment of death approaching, the instant of death. "That" refers to exertion for the sake of rectification such as confession, like having committed the action of rectification. Here, the scripture says, "Monks, that is rising from that downfall. Now I say rising from downfall by intention, not by the act of punishment." This refers to the case of a Saṅghāvaśeṣa offense where one intends to rectify it, but in the course of going elsewhere, from the point of losing life up to "not by the act of punishment" is what is said. Saying "I say rising from downfall by intention" is for the purpose of making all rectifications fall under the category of offenses. Rectification of Saṅghāvaśeṣa offenses is always severe. Therefore, from that, like this, there are five situations, called hatred, which should be combined. Therefore, this sutra is for the purpose of encompassing everything. At other times, if it is taken in that way, it would lead to confession and so forth being meaningless. Therefore, it is said that those within are truly present. It is reasonable to rise from those who confess with a single intention that arises from an inexhaustible mind and is subsequently joined. It is the same for the meaningless. Otherwise, it would lead to confession and so forth being meaningless. Therefore, in the state of diligence, those are truly present, and therefore that also relies on this. For those with deficient effort, it also shows the presence of diligence. In any existing situation where other conditions are not complete and rectification is not accomplished, then here this limb itself is not reasonable. Therefore, it is spoken of because the conditions are not accomplished. Because of what was done in madness, therefore, becoming sane is like committing a crime. This refers to all actions done by falling away from one's nature, especially engaging in sexual activity. Becoming sane and regaining one's nature, existing in what the actor considers, is like committing a crime. It is like confessing later in front of one person. In order to eliminate untruth, confession is truly present, because it is for the sake of rectification, but not for the case of not rising from the downfall.

No. If one speaks with name and category, then one is released from the transgression, which should be known from the permission of the word "enough." What is called "having a name" refers to serious offenses, Sanghavasesa, Nissaggiya Pacittiya, Pacittiya alone, offenses to be confessed to others, and misdeeds. What is called "having a category" refers to what is caused by unchaste conduct, etc., what is caused by intentional emission of semen, etc., what is caused by touching, etc., what is caused by speaking about sexual intercourse, etc., what is caused by flattery and praise, etc., up to what is caused by speaking harsh words, what is caused by exceeding ten days, what is caused by lying, etc., what is caused by a Bhikkhuni giving alms, and what is caused by not sewing the lower garment into a round shape, etc. Therefore, by speaking with name and category, one can confess transgressions, that is its meaning. Here, speaking from oneself should be known from the mantra, that is, "I, Bhikkhuni, whose name is so-and-so," etc., in the category of transgressions, what is caused by lying, etc., therefore, speaking thus is truly existent. From Sanghavasesa, that is, "How long has this time been concealed?" or "How long has it been concealed?" From Sanghavasesa, one should speak of other things related to this. If one clings to concealment, then it should be calculated by the length of time of concealment. One should speak of concealing for one day or two days, etc. For what is not prescribed, one should conceal with what is not prescribed itself, and so on for what is not concealed. What is called "exhortation from it is expulsion," what is called "from it" refers to from that Sanghavasesa. Because whoever requests from it, one should expel that name, that is the meaning of expelling from the transgression. Because it is the form of a transgression to be committed, that category is spoken of here. What is expulsion? Therefore, it is said, "Having enjoyed the property of the Sangha for six days without permission." Having enjoyed the property of the Sangha for six days without permission and expelling
