It is said, yes. Excrement, urine, and wine bottles are unnecessary. For the sake of the Sangha, whatever cooking is done must be reported, which means to have others do it, to report is to make them do it, not to do it oneself. Here, the treatise is from the science of medicine, here, first one must hold the lid of the alms bowl, it is said to the end. Before food is put into the alms bowl, one should not rely on entering for alms just because one is holding the alms bowl. Before putting in, means not holding the alms bowl in front. Holding the lid of the alms bowl, means that which is used to cover the alms bowl after food is put into it is called the lid of the alms bowl. Do not doubt that this is different from holding a staff's container, holding the lid of the alms bowl and holding a staff's container, other than the drinking cup offered to it, others cannot hold the staff's container, do not doubt that this is different, do not think that these two are not allowed for bhikkhunis. It is also not allowed for a sick person to wear a hat, do not doubt that either. The sutra says that except for upasakas and others who are naturally sinful, it is allowed for a sick person to wear a hat, do not doubt that this is not allowed for bhikkhunis. Here, the treatise is from the teachings of Mahaprajapati, the Blessed One said, one can wear a hat. This also shows that women can also wear hats. Therefore, in places where water freezes, it should also be known that it is allowed, so this sutra is just an example. Without ringing the bell and vajra, one cannot enter a house for alms. Holding it, refers to the bell and vajra. One must strive to be proficient in coming out and entering, this refers to the alms seeker. How to do it? Therefore, one must make a sign.

If asked what to cover with, therefore it is said to cover with alms-gathering Brahmins and so on. Regarding "one should not maintain one's livelihood by selling the Dharma," here the scripture says that if those people seek to obtain from the mother through the Dharma, and maintain their livelihood by selling the Dharma, the Blessed One taught that one should not seek to obtain through the Dharma, nor should one maintain one's livelihood by selling the Dharma. Here it is said to do this from small things, first to do, until finally saying to eat. From the topics, first it is said to abandon those, until finally saying Bhikshuni. If there is no water, wash the feet with yogurt water and other juices, this is to exclude what will be said below that one should not trample food with one's feet. Regarding "one should sit on a grass mat," this means there is no other mat. Place it on the uncovered edge. Regarding "piling up is also okay," it is not only placing them separately, it is also okay to pile them together. Regarding "discard at the end," it means that after the work is finished, the grass mat should be discarded. Regarding "if it is a majority," it means if it is a majority of Bhikshunis. Regarding "even if it is not the order of the queue," it means that if it is a majority of Bhikshunis, even if it is not the order of the queue, it is also okay. If asked what is the quantity, therefore it is said a queue of five hundred, meaning that arranging less than five Bhikshunis in one row, a long queue can be made. Regarding "at the end of the elders, each one should distribute in common," it should be understood in conjunction with "distributing for the things to be blessed." If asked where to distribute, therefore it is said "when the distributors steal, arrange the stewards." Those who make food should eat first. At the time of a large gathering, in order to seat the elders in order, and in order to distribute, Bhikshus should be arranged. Regarding "for this, the Bhikshuni should arrange two or three, and sit as they please," it means that for this large gathering, the Bhikshuni should remove two or three elders. Lowering the voice, walking for the sake of food.

That which is called "should be done" is: starting from the mother of demons, one should first abide, which is called "ultimate"; mindfulness should be kept close, which is called "first to be done," and if not, then the ultimate of what is called "collecting in between"; finally, one should not leave after rising, which is called "first to be done," the ultimate of what is called "belly and wisdom." Coming to the presence of a householder, one should give with faith, this is also the meaning. That which is called "food should not be trampled by feet" comes from the basis of medicine. That which is called "one should not ride to go" is first prohibited, the ultimate of what is called "it is not so"; that which is called "not determined" is also in the Vinaya, where the Blessed One came well, placing the remaining alms bowl, called "distinguishing," reading from it, and from the small parts, it should be regarded as one, this is what the Buddha said. Extremely subdued and with beautiful conduct. That which is called "beautiful" is also to walk for the sake of food. Similarly, one should also abide, and reduce sound, be extremely subdued, and with beautiful conduct, abide for the sake of food. Food should not be trampled by feet. The bottom of the alms bowl should not be touched by feet. Keeping mindfulness close, one should beg for alms, this is focus. In order to dispel thoughts related to other things, one will also abide outside of focusing the mind, therefore it is said to beg for alms without a scattered mind. Not robbing, just living, not mixing, not disturbing, extremely frugal, and accomplishing without passing the time. For those who are invited as guests, it is unreasonable to possess what is obtained from outside of that, for this. The text here is that after a barber becomes a renunciate, he is invited to a Sangha gathering, preparing to enjoy food, and the monks are invited to other food, they do not accept it, and the Blessed One taught that being invited to other food, there is nothing unreasonable in possessing what is obtained from elsewhere. There is no fault in obtaining something other than one's own food, meaning that when one is eating one's own food, if others give alms, then there is not.
