Furthermore, all those who have not taken up this Dharma should not pour alcohol. A lay devotee should not engage in six kinds of work: selling sentient beings, selling alcohol, selling weapons, selling poison, engaging in menial work, and the business of selling sesame. This is what is summarized above. Apart from what is naturally blameworthy, everything else is only for the purpose of healing, and nothing else. The so-called "remainder" means that apart from prohibiting the consumption of all food that is contrary to the precepts, for all other things that should be prohibited, it is only for the purpose of healing, and nothing else. This remainder should be known. Starting from the subtle details, first clean and then announce with incense, this is the final step. Garlic, onions, and leeks should not be eaten. The sick should eat in a secluded place. After eating, one should not enter the monastery for seven days after eating garlic, three days after eating onions, and one day after eating leeks. "After eating" should be connected to the above times. After eating garlic, it should be seven days. Similarly, after eating onions, it should be three days. After eating leeks, it should be one day. One should not be in the dwelling, that is, one should not enjoy it. One should not enter the toilet. One should not enter the place of urination. One should not enter the Sangha. One should not go near the stupa. The distance is one fathom, which refers to the distance around the stupa. Here the scripture says: One should avoid a fathom's distance around the stupa. O monks, stupas are full of people who have faith in the manifestation of the gods, and the gods like cleanliness, so the smell is incompatible with them, so one should not prostrate to the stupa. This is unreasonable, because in the above circumstances, one should not prostrate to the stupa. One should not teach the Dharma to householders. One should not enter secular homes. One should not be in a place where people gather. Finally, one should bathe. The smell of clothes should be removed by washing and smoking. Cooked and placed food that has been blessed can be outside.

The term "similar" is like, for example, a monk from a dwelling one arrow-shot away from the enclosure, to the cooked and inhabited places outside, relying on food, and for food that does not do what should not be done, also blesses it to become what should be done. There, it is also said that blessing is to prevent those faults from occurring. To show whether it is reasonable to do this, or whether it is thought to be reasonable, one should bless. Under trees and elephant pens, and the dwellings of heretics, and the king's palace grounds, and nuns' summer residences, and the steps of monasteries, and gatehouses, and corridors, and warm rooms, and the enclosures of measuring places, one should not do, this should be connected to "blessing." For fierce people and sophists, and those who suppress others, not doing in houses and corridors, in order to completely avoid loss of meaning and disrespect, therefore these are used to prevent those, including practice, etc. Some texts say that places without cover, and fire rooms, and the foundations of stupas, and the land of householders, etc., some texts say that for these and those mentioned earlier, one should not bless houses that are suitable, this is the view of others. One should not cook or boil there either, where "there" refers to under trees, etc., and places without cover. This common practice is similar to that of householders, because cooking and boiling are done, therefore it is very necessary to do so reasonably. Here, because one does not live without concealment, one does not do, because of the reason for the defeat of renunciation, this principle also applies to others. For under trees, etc., this is completely without concealment, and the end of the faults of disrespect, in some places, these are prevented from cooking and boiling, and one should not do the cleaning of dyeing, the cleaning of dyeing is the cleaning of dyeing. One does not do that, because it is one-third dyeing, those dyeing are cleaned by the monk himself, one should not do in those places under trees, etc., that is the meaning. That is not recitation, but to protect against great sins, etc.
