From the ceremony of full ordination, it is said that the five Dharma robes should be blessed, and so on. In the Pratimoksha of the Bhikshunis and its Vibhanga, it is said: When a Bhikshuni has obtained the Dharma robes, if she renounces them from the root, if any one of the five Dharma robes is separated from the outside of the boundary for one night, she commits a Nissaggiya Pacittiya offense. The so-called five Dharma robes are: Samghati, Uttarasanga, Antarvasa, Samkakshika, and Sanghakakshika, and so on. The saying, "Even if there are new ones, they should be possessed," means: If the Dharma robe has been cut and sewn, even if it is new, it should be possessed, and then it should be blessed. If not, then even if it has not been cut and sewn, it should be blessed, and the Dharma robe should not be left unblessed. The saying, "Having placed these, do not let the dawn pass," means: Do not separate from the three Dharma robes that have been blessed. This should be understood in connection with the saying, "Even if there are new ones, they should be possessed." If a day and night pass, then it is reasonable for those of the same kind to let it pass, therefore it is said, "Dawn appears." If there is no other, even without changing direction, it can be blessed, which means that even without changing the direction of these three Dharma robes, one can abandon discrimination and bless them. Therefore, abandonment leaves room for doubt. Even if the direction is changed, this will happen, because the best has not been found, so for the case where the direction has not been changed, what can be changed? There is no doubt here either. Because for the enjoyer, changing direction is inevitable, and for something suitable as the essence of a limb, the certainty of enjoyment is the limb itself. Changing direction is appropriate. Even so, by eliminating the white action, this meaning is not a suitable basis. Therefore, even without changing direction, one can bless, so this meaning has been accomplished. The saying, "Even if it has not been cut," means that even if it is owned by others, it can be blessed. To correct this, the word "even" is used. Here, "owned by others" refers to something that has been cut but not owned by others.

Therefore, if possible, it is said "sew a patch," where "that" refers to what has not been cut. Also, wanting to bless what is not possessed, and at the time of blessing, it refers to what is not possessed. If possible, it is said that one should give cloth for sewing patches. Regarding the form suitable for a householder, it is said "also okay," meaning that if there is nothing else possessed, the blessing can be established, and the word "also" here is used to include. Because it has the form suitable for a householder, it is the form suitable for a householder. "Suitable" means that it has not become the form of a bhikkhu's Dharma garment. Felt, cotton, calfskin, coarse cloth, and lion skin, etc., should not be taken apart, but should be sewn and stitched as patches, meaning that they should be blessed to become Dharma garments. Although it is said that "hairy things should not be blessed to become Dharma garments," but hairy things, such as cotton and calfskin, etc., these may shed hair, so here it should be understood as including these two. Here, the scripture says that bhikkhus, these five are not the same, that is, all felt, all cotton, all calfskin, all coarse cloth, and all lion skin, should be sewn and held. Although one should not do anything slightly, but in order to understand that here it is promised through blessing, so it should be understood in this way. If the dwelling becomes dirty due to uncleanliness, it should be cleaned immediately. Except for the sangha's grass mats and low beds, starting from the cushions, one should not use those without cushions or covers, and without setting up obstacles. Here, "except for beds and low beds" means other than beds and low beds. "Grass mats and low beds" here refers to beds and low beds woven with thatch grass and kusha grass, etc. It was once said in these minor rules: Venerable one, have you tidied up the dwelling? He replied: I have not tidied up the cushions. Because he slept on the grass mat without tidying up, this is specifically excluded. Because here, someone thinks in their mind: I have not tidied up the grass mat and this. From liberation, these are also obtained, and these are all defiled.
