The term "land" refers to two types of acquisitions here: one where the owner is aware and thinks, "Although I did not invite this as a guest, I will still give it," and another where it is given unknowingly. The former lacks the act of "taking," so the act of stealing itself is an offense. The latter is very upright, as it involves joyfully accepting alms without excessive attachment. In this way, worldly people have no intention of stealing, which is why it is considered an offense. The phrase "going for the purpose of stealing" uses the word "again" to trace back to the meaning of "offense." The previous statement, "from what has already been taken," does not refer to including this item within it, so it should be understood that this sutra belongs to the branch of subsequent sutras. Therefore, the meaning of "different thoughts are not absent" is that from this action, thoughts arise, whether it is a verbal action or a bodily action, it is not different from not doing it, because this itself belongs to the offense, it is not a second offense. The phrase "Isn't it completely accepted, one should carefully examine and accept" is established for the purpose of repentance and blaming others' words. Therefore, one should carefully examine and then accept. If it is not completely accepted, how can this firmness be determined? The phrase "one should not make the body tired" means that making the body fall and tired is for the purpose of obtaining the necessary benefits from fame. One should not be so tired, because other actions such as beating and hitting can cause confusion. The phrase "in front of the fruit, the monk abandons himself and speaks" refers to not changing the posture of the body like a monk again, which is the summary. The phrase "one should not destroy the nest" refers to the nest as the place where birds and pigeons and so on rely. To slander this refers to understanding the rituals in the monk's residence where there are no eggs and so on. The phrase "one should not take the part of the robe that is not in the dwelling" means that for the property obtained while living somewhere, even if it is another year's robe, one should not take it. The root here is the monk's.

Therefore, do not dwell in other places, and do not separately accept the summer share in other places. The separate share is the deserved share. Here, the saying of one year is an example. It is forbidden to not obtain it in other places as well. There is no fault in accepting from a robber with the mind of a donor, meaning that whatever is taken from that robber, if it is accepted with the mind of thinking, "This is a donor," there is no fault in that. Just as there is no fault in taking from others, so it is here as well. Because the thief himself is related to this. For this property, this person is the owner, and he himself gives it, like this, accepting with a completely impure mind will become with faults. Therefore, the mind of the giver is different. Do not take from someone who is coming, has the means of stealing, and is not considered a robber, meaning do not take from someone who does not know, suddenly happens, and is not considered a robber. These words are added to prevent the theft that may actually occur. Because for theft, whoever knows it, that can be understood as being famous. Taking from a famous person, the robber himself steals, not someone else's, there is no loophole for the theft that may actually occur. What is taken from there should be cut with a knife or made into an ugly color, and then held. For there, meaning for the situation that has become like that from a famous person, who would suddenly not be cut? This may happen, so these words are added. Even if that is done, if asked for, give it, meaning even if it is stolen like that, cut with a knife, or made into an ugly color, if asked for, the thief knows from whom it was stolen, if asked to that person, it should be given there. Do not aim at the vital point, meaning that there is harm in using deception. In order for those who have time to be able to endure abandonment, the laypeople let the noble Ananda collect many boys and girls, thereby causing harm, at that time, all these combined together are approximate actions that everyone should do. For taking without being given, there is also this combination, such as stealing with a diamond, for giving and letting others give, for property...
