In the Ra-gzhung, as the Blessed One said, if one moves a heavy object, it becomes a border offense. If a monk steals a heavy object without moving it from its place, is it a border offense? Yes, the Blessed One said, wherever it is, if one steals it together with that place, it becomes a border offense. Killing itself is not stealing, so this alone does not constitute stealing. Here, moving and killing occur simultaneously, or it is later considered stealing. Moving from one direction is also not not moving, meaning that in a certain place, if one moves from a place, and some parts of a substance are abandoned, while other parts are not removed, then for the parts that are not removed, it is not considered completed. It means that it is completed only when everything is removed. If something is taken from there, it is stealing, meaning that for fruits, because they fall, they were lifted before, and they fall from their own place, that falling itself is stealing. There, whatever is below, whether it is land or clothes, etc., whatever falling does not obtain the nature of the best accumulation, it should be understood as stealing here. Here, the intention to make it obtainable in a place is the correct existence, not the intention of collecting. Just like collecting and placing, therefore it is considered stealing here. Here, the form of the place is determined by manifesting desire. Whatever cannot move by relying on itself, or wants to move, that is the place here. The text here is: If a venerable monk shakes trees and makes fruits fall and then steals, what offense does he commit? If through one action, five mashakas, etc., are gathered, it becomes a border offense. If they are not gathered, it becomes a gross offense. It arises from dripping and leaking holes, meaning that dripping holes, such as water buckets, etc. What is done by hand and what is done by foot, such as a complete warehouse with a basic nature, etc., the hole will necessarily arise from a place that has not been removed. Therefore, stealing from rivers and warehouses, etc. Here, until the very last, it is the same substance.

Regarding land: Here, from the final outcome, as long as all the things in the hole are the same, then the value of all these things is called the classification of downfall. For those who need to grow crops, etc., not completely relying on it, but stealing water, etc., it should be understood that this is said for these purposes. Here, if a monk cuts off the water flow to steal water, what downfall will he incur? Starting from the first pile of water, until the last drop of water, the value of the water should be calculated. If the things are complete, he will incur a root downfall. If the things are incomplete, he will incur a gross offense. If a monk digs a hole and steals grain, what downfall will he incur? The value of the things stolen by one action should be calculated. Here, the digging itself is the action, because there is no other action, so digging a hole, as long as oneself appears, then one action is established. Stealing from a pile, each taking is different, meaning each taking from a pile is different. Separating from a collection, here separating from a collection does not exist. Like gathering, there is no classification here. Here, if a monk cuts off from a pile of grain and steals grain, what downfall will he incur? The value should be calculated. If the things are complete with one action, he will incur a root downfall. If the things are incomplete, he will incur a gross offense. If there are many things to be separated, then each part of it should be added that stealing is different. These are to be combined and separated, whatever things are stolen, those things are many, what is each part is each part. Therefore, stealing is different. For the things to be stolen, if there is only one owner, then each part of it, the downfall caused by its value is one. The second, its value is different. The third, its value is different. Like this, it is the same meaning for the fourth, etc. For each part of combination and separation, here the value is complete, which means its essence is different, this refers to the understanding of this.
