One should strive to accomplish the initial intention. Therefore, here too, the act of taking refuge is initiated. Some say that before the mantra of taking the novice vows, one recites "I shall take the signs of a novice," and then recites "I am a novice, please accept me as a preceptor," and so on. This is not reasonable. Because for one who has already renounced, there is no further renunciation. For one who has already taken vows, it is not appropriate to take them again. The Acharya should also not recite the mantra. In the mantra for accomplishing the state of a novice, having already promised to renounce, one should, like the Blessed One Shakyamuni Buddha, take all the signs of renunciation. To seek meaning, one should recite the name, calling the preceptor by the title "Preceptor So-and-so." Reciting "Please, Acharya, accept me as a novice," and so on, is their recitation. However, it is not appropriate to take vows again after having already taken them, so it is not reasonable. After the request, reciting "it is also permissible," and so on, enters into the meaning of "accomplishing renunciation." The word "permissible" is for distinguishing the meanings of various intentions. Some people, after the preceptor and others, recite "one should shave the hair and beard," and so on. Their intention is that, like a novice, shaving the hair and so on is also the custom of renunciation. Therefore, reciting their discriminations is closely connected. Thus, the preceptor should entrust that to a monk who accomplishes the state of a novice, that is, one who accomplishes the state of a novice from here, and because he possesses these qualities for accomplishing the state of a novice, he is one who accomplishes the state of a novice. Here, for accomplishing the precepts of a novice, it is for the sake of direct perception. One should know that here, having completely distinguished with the mind, one abides by its own nature. One should entrust this to one who is for the sake of accomplishment. Having asked, "Is it completely pure?" if it is pure, then it should be accomplished, this is the conduct of the Acharya.

Then, whoever takes the novice vows should be regarded as the Acharya. Secretly teaching, engaging in activities, providing lodging, and reciting, these are also the duties of the Acharyas. The abbreviated meaning of the term "Acharyas" is the particle "also." So, through what can one know the identity of these Acharyas? The answer is, when the meaning is accomplished, the identity is established. That is to say, through what meaning is the mantra distinguished? For example, through the meaning of taking the novice vows, the Acharya identity of the novice vows is determined. When this meaning is accomplished, it becomes the Acharya identity, etc., that determines the meaning. Accomplishment itself is production. Therefore, for those who have accomplished taking vows, etc., it should be recognized that the Acharya identity arises from these aspects. Through what meaning is this person a Khenpo, and for the identity of the Khenpo, what arises from the determined meaning? The answer is, accepting the request to be a Khenpo becomes the Khenpo. That is to say, at the time of the request, accepting to be a Khenpo, then for that person, it becomes the identity of the Khenpo. Ordination itself is not done for the purpose of taking the novice vows or the characteristics of the full ordination. Through what accomplishment of meaning do the Acharya identity and the Khenpo identity arise, and when is it accomplished? The answer is, in the last three parts of what is said, accomplishment exists within them. That is to say, in what is said, the part where the Acharya identity, etc., is accomplished, that is what is said. In that part, the meaning is accomplished, and those said contents also have three parts. Among them, how much is said from the words, this cannot be known. Therefore, it should be said that it is the last one, which is the later part. In that said content, the third part, it should be known that the meaning is accomplished there. For example, through an example, the meaning is fully accomplished, such as when stating other content, like the novice vows. This "other" refers to the time of the statement of the one who takes the vows.
