And like the fragrance of Tamala leaves, and the touch of silk and coarse cloth, Beusa, Dala, Dugula cloth, and Kotamba cloth, proclaiming, 'As long as the gods and others are here.' Like this proclamation, know that all of these should be included here. Mentioning gods and others here is just an example, extremely large hungry ghosts and others are also included here. If asked, 'Is it sinful for all who live here?' Therefore it is said, 'Except only for the purpose of making one disgusted.' It means that except for entering into this state. Because other entries other than entering into this state are sinful, therefore it is said, 'For the purpose of making one disgusted, the stories of hell, animals, and hungry ghosts, etc., are without downfall.' It is the cause of downfall that makes one disgusted. If what is done will become the cause of the downfall of hiding? Therefore it is said, 'If a renunciate is made to hide the bowl, Dharma robes, mat, bowl, and belt, etc., the living utensils of a Bhikshu.' It means that if one allows to hide the bowl, etc., possessed by the renunciate spoken by the Buddha, those Bhikshu living utensils that meet the standard. Saying 'renunciate' is to include the meaning of all renunciates such as Bhikshus, Bhikshunis, Shikshamanas, Shramaneras, and Shramanerikas. If asked, 'Is it the same for those who have never done these things at any time?' Therefore it is said, 'If it is not for helping.' It means that there is no downfall in this way. It is the cause of the downfall of hiding. If given to whom, will it become the cause of the downfall of relying on near dwelling? Therefore it is said, 'If clothes are given to a Bhikshu, and used without permission.' It means that it is completely given, and if a Bhikshu gives clothes to someone, and enjoys them without permission, that is the meaning. Relying on one's own wisdom to live near, there will be sin. Relying on the wisdom of others.

is huge, and taking without being given here is related. Therefore, this transgression arises for what is not given. This is only when there is no fault in one's own mind. The understanding that another's thing is mistaken for one's own is established. Because one's own mind is deluded, there is no fault in connecting with this and other things. For clothes and remaining utensils, this transgression exists here from the very beginning. The alms bowl is complete, and the small alms bowl should be regarded as inferior. Here, some explanations of the scriptures are: If a monk gives an alms bowl and Dharma robes to a bhikkhu, and then takes them back and uses them, what offense is committed? A downfall offense. If a monk gives an alms bowl or Dharma robes to other bhikkhus as living utensils, and then takes them back, what offense is committed? An offense of wrong-doing. Here, the former is not taking anything other than the alms bowl and Dharma robes. Because there is no fault, it is said that nothing was taken. The latter is because it was taken, so it will be an offense of wrong-doing, which should be known. The latter says alms bowl or Dharma robes, which means that things other than the alms bowl or Dharma robes have been damaged. Afterwards, saying that there is no permission means that for the object given, taking and collecting separately is collecting. Is it possible to use it at will? Therefore, it is said that if that basis does not make them happy. That refers to the fact that the recipient uses it with trust, and there is no downfall offense. Giving it for living is a downfall offense. What leads to the downfall offense of slander? Therefore, it is said that wanting to slander, one changes the bhikkhu's view, and the Sangha remains says slander. It should be known that slandering with the downfall offense of the Sangha remains, one should know what the intention of slander is. Is it just direct slander? Therefore, it is said, even slightly. Here the scriptures say: Monk

If a Bhikshu is accused of an offense by the Sangha merely for teaching the precepts, what offense would be committed? Answer: An offense of downfall would be committed. It is the offense of downfall for accusing. Previously, walking on the road is the same as being with a woman. If someone asks: Does the "who" mentioned refer to anyone else? Therefore, it is said, "If one wants to walk on the road," meaning if one wants to walk on one's own accord, not being forced by others. If asked: How far does one have to walk to commit an offense? Therefore, it is said, "Every Yojana," meaning that the one who commits the offense of downfall here is the act itself, because no distinction has been made. Therefore, every distance is a misdeed, that is, every half Yojana, the woman commits a misdeed. Every Yojana, walking freely with a woman without a wise man, should be understood. If someone asks: Are all the situations of women the same as those of Bhikshus? Therefore, it is said, "Except for prevention," meaning that it should be understood that the "Bhikshu" mentioned here refers to those who abide here. In this way, by implication, it can be understood what causes this fault not to arise, which is reasonable. If someone asks: Is he also guiding those who are lost onto the right path? Answer: Yes, the "he" here refers to the Bhikshu. If someone asks: Is he also guiding those who are unable to? Answer: Yes, guiding those who are unable, meaning giving up the side that is inconsistent with the offense of downfall, like this, this is the meaning of starting because of prevention. Walking on the road with a woman is an offense of downfall. With whom does stealing and walking become an offense of downfall?
