From what is obtained, that which is initially obtained, because the first Dharma garment is obtained individually, this is the meaning of "this." Here, all wrapping, the occurrence of seasons, and powder, etc., regarding the garments upon which offenses should be imposed, the ability to wear the garments itself is not; to explain this meaning, it is said, even the bowl cover, etc. Here, it is seen that the bowl cover covers alms. Elsewhere, it is not permitted, therefore, in some texts of inquiry here, it is asked whether the bowl net, etc., can be used as a foot-washing vessel. It is said that it is permissible, because for a water strainer, this itself is reasonable, so it is summarized. The reason is that this has the function of changing the direction of water flow to hold water. Although it has the function of holding water, and giving and receiving can be done, and dwelling and untimely receiving and dwelling exist, it is not to be enjoyed. This meaning has basically not changed. Therefore, the offering of utensils and Dharma garments is determined as not changing the direction of this and that. Giving, etc., is also separately covering alms, giving and covering itself is not the meaning. Here, not being up to standard is also included in this meaning. Regarding belts, etc., if there is a fault, then it will also occur for clothes, etc., that are not up to standard, so it is said that it is not appropriate. Other schools say that it is not necessary to allow, meaning that the community of monks and nuns, novices and novice nuns, and novice nuns, these are called schools here. Therefore, for the clothes of any other school, when using them oneself, it is not necessary to allow them, this is the meaning. It is not stealing by a householder either, it is connected to not needing to be allowed. Here, the texts of the two sutras say in some inquiries that if a monk's robe is allowed, then it is also allowed for the nuns. Similarly, it is also allowed for all five schools.

If a monk obtains clothes that were stolen by a king or other opponents, is it permissible to use them even if they are obtained later? There is no need for an attendant, because it is permissible from the beginning. That is what is being said. One should not rely on clothes that have undergone significant color changes; this principle has already been explained. Here, the eight words are merely illustrative, and therefore, there is no detailed explanation here. One should not wear the clothes of householders; this should be combined with "do not rely on wearing." Here, in this section, is the initial principle. In a monastery, one should cover oneself with a shroud and use it. This means that one should wear it without leaving the monastery, not referring to the dwelling place. It is not something else, nor is it the monastery itself. Therefore, it is not explained separately. What kind of householder's clothes can be worn in a monastery? Therefore, it is said to cover oneself with a shroud and use it. There is no fault in using it on bedding, and therefore, it is said elsewhere as well. Clothes found on the road are common property, meaning that finding one piece of clothing also indicates that it is common property. With whom is it common property? Therefore, it is said to be shared with friends. How is it shared? Therefore, it is said to be shared with monks and novices. If one is alone, one should cover oneself from the elders to the place one arrives, and this should be combined with the found clothes. If it is not specifically designated, one should not wear someone else's clothes, meaning that it is not said to be dividing common clothes. To explain that what the noble ones allow is also included, whatever is given as common property, that and this are no different, because it is not specifically designated. If someone desiring merit invites one as a guest, before finishing speaking, for Salpa, who is threatened by impermanence, one should cover oneself with mindfulness. When should one cover oneself? Therefore, it says the guest.

English
It is called "calling" because this word is spoken. But it is not to create obstacles, but to desire merit. What should be rubbed? Therefore, "Sarpara" is mentioned, and it is combined with the word "clothing." The word "uncut" is related to the sound of "how long" here, meaning until before it is uncut. Is it okay if it is anything? Therefore, it is said, "the attention that is threatened by impermanence." Wearing clothes with unturned edges will incur a downfall. Where does doing it become a downfall belonging to the four downfalls? Therefore, it is said that it is not one's own precious thing, and if one touches or causes someone to touch what is said there, one is the author. For the question of "where," the answer is given by the phrase "if one touches or causes someone to touch." For the question of "what to do," the answer is given by the phrase "not one's own precious thing, what is said there." The word "there" means that what is said there is considered a precious thing, the same as a precious thing. There, because one's own nature is the nature of the thing itself, the ritual of establishing the nature of one's own precious thing. In this ritual, because it is taken by oneself, the word "not one's own" is used here in the pure downfall. For the word "what is said there," it should be understood as "not one's own," and both should be understood as the author here. One's own and not one's own are very powerful, a very fertile place. Because one's own very fertile place is considered a precious thing to be owned, it should be known to belong to misdeeds. What is called a precious thing? Therefore, it is said that it is a weapon used in war and a musical instrument used in music. Weapons needed in war and related to it are weapons used in war. Similarly, it is also the same for music. What kind of things are these two, and who is the author? Therefore, what has become suitable because of need is the main thing, and what has not become suitable is a misdeed. Living in and around the temple, wasting things unrelated to ownership.
