Those words that are spoken, even if relied upon, will not become obstacles. Therefore, the Dharma taught by the Blessed One, I have understood, etc., not abandoning the entering phrases, this is what is said. As the Blessed One said, etc., whatever entering phrases are not abandoned, this is its meaning. The Dharmas that become obstacles should be understood as all the afflicted Dharmas. Here, the word "etc." also includes other things related to views. This ritual applies to all things related to views, because they will all be understood as wrong paths. Therefore, one should rebuke with supplication, and after that say "Oh." The "therefore" here refers to falling by not abandoning the edge of karma, and changing refers to the rebuke that should be done after the karma of supplication. If one still does not abandon after rebuking, then one should know that one should feel regret after that. This is classifying rebuke by expulsion, regarding rebuke as abandonment. Not abandoning becoming a view is the cause of downfall. If someone asks, who is the author of the downfall that follows abandonment? Therefore, it is said "consciousness is the main thing," that is, the person who takes consciousness as the main thing. For whom is it the person who takes consciousness as the main thing? Therefore, it is said, "to the monk who has not made amends for abandoning." Whoever says like this, "For as long as I am unable to obstruct," etc., what is said here is this. Saying "not making amends" means not making subsequent amends, that is, not abandoning, that is, not asking for forgiveness with abandonment, this comes from differentiation. Similarly, the downfall of not abandoning views, not confessing, is also not the cause of this fault arising, but it is what has been accepted. Saying not abandoning and not confessing means that not accepting does not generate this fault. For non-existent things, acceptance itself is the cause of generating what should be abandoned. Similarly, for what has been abandoned but not confessed, this fault will not arise.
