Those with hair like that are yellow-haired. Those with hair like a lion's mane are yellowish-brown-haired. Those whose hair looks like it has been dyed are green-haired. Those whose hair is white from birth are white-haired, except in the case of old age. Those with hair like an elephant's hair are elephant-haired, like an elephant's fur. Those whose heads are hairless and smooth like a copper vessel are hairless. Those with three or four wrinkles on their heads, appearing uneven, are those with bumpy heads. Those whose bodies are wide like flat objects, gathered separately and similarly, are those with flat bodies. Those with eyes that are very small and round are small-eyed. Those whose heads are retracted inside, so that they have eyes at the shoulders, are shoulder-eyed. The male sexual organ is where urine comes from, and if it is missing, it is someone who has lost their male sexual organ. Those who are easily fatigued by even small tasks are easily fatigued. One's own four skin colors refer to blue, yellow, red, and white, which refers to a turtle. This is prohibited for those who have such appearances and disparage various skin colors. Those who have auspicious appearances like the gods are not included. Thus, for now, ordination and so on are prohibited for such people. Those approaching ordination and full ordination should also not be accepted, which indicates that those with defects in lineage and body should not be ordained. Those with defects in lineage, such as carpenters, etc., should not be allowed to eat food. Those with defects in the body, such as defects in shape and color, such as having only one arm, etc., should not be allowed to approach, not only giving them lodging, but also not giving them lodging inside the house, and their accompanying retinue. Similarly, a monk should not allow a retinue that disrupts the harmony of the sangha to approach; if they are allowed to approach, it will be a serious violation.

Question: In what way is it said to be a wheel that expels the three cycles of rebirth? Answer: By lineage, complexion, and form. What is lineage? It is the lineage of carpenters, Chandalas, and Yongpo. What is lineage and form? It refers to things like yellow hair mentioned here. If several are taken by the same preceptor, it is permissible to grant full ordination to up to three people with one statement. 'Several' means two or more. Because there is one preceptor, it is called 'one preceptor,' referring to that. 'One statement' means one request. How do we know there are several? Here it says 'up to three,' meaning that up to three is reasonable, but not others. It is also said in the scriptures, 'The Sangha should not do the work of the Sangha.' Some say that this is directed at treatises that have acknowledged the differences of preceptors. It is also said in the questions of the attendant: 'Venerable, if at the same time and instant, one actor performs or has performed two actions with one request, will the Sangha not become a major offense?' The attendant replied: 'Yes, there is. If the acting Bhikshu is powerful and can fully recite the names of the preceptors and those who wish to receive full ordination, and the request is not flawed, then it can be done.' And so on. The noble attendant, who can give and protect the novice vows, and is pleasing, these two should protect each other's minds and be granted full ordination simultaneously, therefore full ordination should not be granted separately. For this reason, the preceptor allows granting full ordination to several, and for this reason, acknowledging that one preceptor has several disciples is seen in the Vinaya of the Mūlasarvāstivāda. Therefore, if it is not acknowledged in this way, then this is also not necessary. Those who are ordained at the same time should not prostrate to each other, meaning that those who receive full ordination with one statement at the same time, or those who receive full ordination separately, there is no mutual prostration among those who are ordained at the same time. Prostration is prostration. The one who comes first is the first, meaning that even those who are ordained at the same time should be determined according to obtaining wealth, being appointed, and so on.
