It should be touched. If the foot washing container is seen to be empty, it should be filled. Water and other containers should also be placed nearby. What is said here refers to pottery and bottles, as well as water vessels, etc. What belongs to the Sangha in this matter is the task of managing the containers. What is meant by understanding here is related to water vessels, etc. Here, the scripture says that from the foundation of the dwelling, the patrons came to the temple, and those containers made by the potters had rotted, and the Blessed One commanded, 'Send some.' But no one collected those things, so those things were wasted. The Blessed One commanded, 'Monks, a manager of containers should be appointed, and he should also give to those who come.' What is said here about giving and receiving is not without inclusion, what is said here about 'here' refers to grasping. What is said about giving and receiving also refers to what the manager of containers should do. Starting from the foundation of the dwelling, whoever did not collect these things, etc., the language of giving and receiving is also what the manager of containers should do, what is said here is that the collection has already been shown. For dilapidated old things, if they still exist, they should be given. What is said here is that if the old things still exist, they should be lent to them. He did not show that they should also be given to the patrons in the temple, what is said here is that he should give to the patrons, the words 'etc.' refer to the patrons coming to the temple, and lending dilapidated things, this was also not shown, because the previous scripture said, 'The patrons came to the temple,' etc., this is exactly what is summarized and shown here. For monks, new things cannot be taken back afterwards. What is said here is that new containers should be given entirely to the monks. This is also giving to two people who possess these things, this is measured by a part. Here, the scripture says, 'For the monks, new things should be given. For the laypeople, old things should be lent.' For the sake of containers, a storekeeper should be appointed. Earthen and copper containers should be placed separately.

Here, it is undoubtedly to be proven that they are different, meaning that the places are not different. Here, the scripture is to offer to the second dwelling, which refers to the place where copper utensils are placed. This is where it abides wholeheartedly. Water should be placed nearby, not randomly, and for this purpose, a water room should be built. The scripture says, "The southwest corner of the monastery," the so-called southwest corner, means that the door must face east. If the door faces other directions, then it should be between the south and west directions, and the junction related to the direction should be used as the junction of the house, which should be in the courtyard. The meaning here is that it is within this direction, not randomly placed. Windows should be opened first, brick floors should be laid, wells should be dug first, doors and door panels should be installed first, and skylights should also be installed. To place the water filter, a crossbeam should be set up. Here, the scripture is offering, that is, tying the crossbeam there, and the scripture says: A place suitable for a water filter should be placed. The so-called placing it on a wooden stool refers to the water container, which is understood through context. Or, on a brick platform, this does not only refer to these, but to the foundation, etc., which means not allowing demons to pass through. Water containers, up to bathing water, must be cleaned. This is to understand the initiation ritual related to the teacher, etc., and to quote words of other meanings. This shows here that one must be immaculate. In order to show that one must be clean, it is said to be "clean." For things to be enjoyed, one must be clean, and one must know the combination, because this is very important. The placement of its place is made clean through complete purification, so it is clean. The so-called drinking water is also, which means that drinking water must also be clean and purified. For water to be enjoyed, the corresponding cleaning is following.
