It is to be avoided in depressions and when boarding a boat. When pouring out medicine, etc., for the Sangha, it is also permissible to fan, take out, scoop, and transport. This refers to medicine, etc., for the Sangha's food, etc., and for individuals. When pouring those out, it is not permissible to touch them because of fanning, etc. If one were to touch a child in this way from the beginning, what should be done? Therefore, it is said that one should first try to fan with branches, extinguish the fire, and fan with the sleeves of clothes, etc. First, one should try in this way to calm the pouring. Thus, it means that one should do fanning, etc., for things for which the remedy has not been completed. If there is no ability to remedy, there is no fault in fanning, etc., without touching. This is definitely established here. Therefore, if one understands this, one should understand that there is no fault in fanning, etc., at first for things that are not remedies. It is permissible to take provisions for crossing a river or seeking a burden, if there is no ceremony or no other provisions. 'Permissible' means it is permissible to use. 'If there is no ceremony' means that if it is not taken by touching, then it is permissible to do these things for crossing a river and seeking a burden. He dwells there, and it should be known through his own limbs or other things related to it. 'If there is nothing else' means that if there is no other burden, then it is reasonable to entrust it here because the ceremony has not been completed. 'If there is no burden, one should please the patron' means that if there is no other burden to carry the provisions, one should make the patron happy to entrust it to him. 'If there is no carrying, one should carry it oneself' means that if entrusting it to the patron is also not successful, then one should carry the provisions oneself at that time. 'One should exchange and receive alms from that itself' means that if one cannot get others to carry it and one carries it oneself, one should give alms to others from what one carries oneself, exchange provisions and receive them.

It is the meaning of what should be accomplished. This should not be accomplished for others. If it is not accomplished, then it should be eaten, which means that it is also for the sake of that, if the exchange and acceptance by giving are not accomplished, then what one holds oneself should also be eaten, that is the meaning of this. If there is no power of giving and receiving, then what has not been given and received, or something else, is also acceptable, which means that if what one holds oneself, or something else, has not been given and received, then what has not been given and received should also be eaten, that is the meaning of this. Furthermore, which of the two, what one holds oneself and what has not been given and received, should be eaten? Therefore, it is said, "Milk that has been cut off from food," which means how much should be eaten of what? Therefore, it is said, "One handful on the first day, one dou on the second day, and as much as is appropriate on the third day." It is also said, "Fruits that have not been made permissible, and those that have not been given and received, and those that have been taken by hand, etc., should also be eaten out of season," all of which are based on the statement "If others do not accomplish it." Who should eat them? Therefore, it is said, "If there is no food," which means for those who have no food. Is it at all times? Therefore, it is said, "If extremely hungry," which means when hunger reaches the point of endangering life. It is also said, "Roots, etc., should also be eaten out of season," and so on. One should also dig out, take out, and accomplish oneself, which means when there is no food and one is extremely hungry, with regard to fruits and roots, etc. Here, one should not know it according to the number, because roots, etc., also have the reason for digging out. For example, those that grow by the water and hang face down, etc. Fruits, etc., also have the reason for taking out. For example, jackfruit, etc. Regarding permissible things such as not giving and receiving, not making permissible, and eating out of season, if one wants to do them at all times, etc., if the sound of the north is not pleasing to the ear, then one should make the intention of fame, which means that for those who are similar to what one does oneself, this pure group is like a ladder.
