Moreover, because the precepts have been given, it is not (the property) of monks, nuns, women who have been given precepts, and nuns, that is its meaning. For novices, there is no offense from touching to hiding, that is "just like that." "From touching to hiding" means that for them, it is from touching to touching that has the nature of hiding. "There is no offense, just like that" means that, just as there is no offense of taking a hand-held object, etc., if a novice has the right to use something, even if a monk hides it, it will not make that monk himself and any other monk unsuitable to use it; if a novice nun has the right to use something, even if a nun hides it, it will not make that nun herself and any other nun unsuitable to use it, that is its meaning. Because this is the property of a novice, it is the novice's. "Giving with dependence is not giving" means that if someone gives to others depending on taking a hand-held object, etc., then by eating it, he will commit the offense of taking the hand-held object itself and half of the savings, that is its meaning. "For giving without dependence, dependence itself is half" means that for giving without dependence on savings and taking hand-held objects, etc., if there is dependence, then in the act of giving and receiving and eating, half of the offense will be committed, that is its meaning. "Therefore, it should not be taken" means that because for giving without dependence, dependence itself is half, therefore it should not be taken, this is for the sake of eating, that is its meaning. Because after taking, dependence will inevitably arise. "One should not knowingly take" means that if one knowingly takes back something given without dependence, it will become an act with understanding, but if it is unknowingly, it is not. Therefore, one should not knowingly take. If one takes unknowingly, there is no offense. Here, the text is asking, if a monk temporarily distributes food to the Sangha or a novice, if the two of them distribute the food again to the same person, should it be accepted? If it has not been considered in advance, it can be eaten. Should it be accepted?

It is said, "Do not be intimate." "If not obviously thinking" means, if one does not think in their mind, 'I can obtain it.' From the topics, it is also said, 'If one eats with dependence,' and so on. For the sake of obtaining a share and attracting that share, if such conditions exist, then touching is not impermissible." Among them, "obtaining a share" means requesting a share. "Will be attracted" means, this precisely refers to taking it to the monastery, which means requesting a share. Regarding what is said, touching is not impermissible. Is it permissible at any time? To show "no," therefore it is said, "If such conditions exist." For those who have not taken full ordination, or for the sick, placing the boat and cart here, for these people, there is no one else to help, no one else involved in helping, and so on. For the cart, only the driver's seat. "All of these should also be understood as following 'If such conditions exist.' Those conditions refer to what is said here, 'The cart should be driven,' and so on. Merely saying that it should not be done, this is what truly exists. A cart loaded with food is not touchable, but if there are conditions that do not allow touching, then at that time one can only touch the seat belonging to the driver, which belongs to the cart. Here, touching the cart is not impermissible; this is to explain the food related to the cart. 'It is the same for the filled one' means that, filled with rice and so on, the driver's seat is separated from the cart itself. 'It is the same for the sick person riding' means that the cart empty of food is only the driver's seat separated from the cart itself. 'For the boat, it is the rudder' means that the boat related to that, loaded with food, and the boat filled with those related things, and when loading into the boat, the rudder is left behind. Even if not sick, one should enter here, therefore, through the word sick, one should understand in the opposite way from this. 'That holding seat is also the same' means that, from the meaningful seat holding the rudder, touching the food related to that, and the filled one.
