Of Laji This is quoted from the section up to "for the sake of drink" regarding the offenses, etc. One should know the time and not gather too early before entering, which can be understood immediately from the phrase "if one accepts an invitation to another's house." If asked how this is understood, it is because it is said, "Therefore, strike the ghaṇṭā and observe one's retinue," which refers to the case of accepting an invitation to another's house. For those who come suddenly, the sthavira is responsible, which means that it should be observed by whichever sthavira is in that retinue. Here, one who dwells steadfastly in the sangha is called a sthavira. Therefore, the text here is that one should observe the retinue of monks who walk among the trustworthy retinue and then go. For those monks who come suddenly, it is said that the sthavira of the sangha should be responsible for observing them. Do not suddenly interrupt the food. If one asks for drink, one should sit down. If one asks who is the author of the offense of eating repeatedly, it is said that whether immediately or later, the invited guest has no reward of clothing. The second reward for the guest without clothing is the author, whether immediately or at any time, inviting one guest, and for the same person who receives the reward, receiving another reward later, that is its meaning. For the case of accepting immediately, if both have no clothes, then from seeing the one who eats later, a misdeed will naturally arise. If one person has no clothes, it should be known. Here, having clothes and not having clothes, and having clothes and also having the value of clothes, and not having clothes and also not having the value of clothes, the offenses are shown in these four ways. Among them, having clothes means inviting someone from another who has clothes to come here to wear clothes. Not having clothes means inviting someone from another who has clothes to come here without clothes. Having clothes and also having the value of clothes, and not having clothes and also not having the value of clothes, both of these situations are created. It should not be thought that this is not included here. Even if there is only one garment, whether many or any

We need it here with clothes. Therefore, this is explained to him. Some say, including clothes and the price of clothes, and without clothes and without price. In these two cases, the price of clothes refers to having clothes. This should also be understood as including clothes. Therefore, this is explained to him. This should not be understood as summarized here. The value is determined by examining the clothes. Relying only on food to invite guests again, this shows that one is seeking desire. Entering relying on other gains, this will not arise. This is the distinction. If one invites guests for what? Therefore, it is mentioned that "one should eat." If it is in what way? Therefore, it is mentioned that it belongs to the five categories. It means that it can be any of the five: rice, hot porridge, vegetable porridge, meat, or fried dough. If the invited guest gains twice as much as the previous guest, then, therefore, it is mentioned that "if the other is also the same." It means that if it belongs to any of the five categories of food, the gain obtained by inviting the guest for the first time is the giver, and if it is not the same, there is no downfall. Here, the scripture is, if a monk temporarily borrows food from a bhikkhu who did not have food before, and then borrows for food, what downfall will he incur if he seeks it? There is no downfall nearby. If a monk temporarily borrows food other than these five foods from a bhikkhu, and then borrows for these five foods, what downfall will he incur if he seeks it? There is no downfall nearby. Does this downfall occur in everything? Therefore, it is mentioned that "not being sick, not working, not going on the road." It means that there is no downfall for those who are in a state of being sick, etc. For all times when one is not in this state, it is said to be "near action." It means that for times when one is not in this state, it is said to be "near action," so it should be classified as "near action." For what gain, who is the giver?
