By earth and so on, by answering with words and so on, by whatever prevents and the nature of not speaking. Among them, whatever belongs to speaking, whatever speaks and relates to the admonition piercing the ear, this should be known as the one who pierces the ear. Whatever pierces the ear by the manner of not speaking, that is piercing the ear by the manner of not speaking. Among the twelve people mentioned, whoever openly mocks, that is openly mocking the person being spoken about. Here, the word "openly" refers to saying the name. These people themselves, mocking in a roundabout way, by what is driven, that is by mocking in a roundabout way. Whoever makes it understood, here is mockery. It is precisely because the name is not spoken that it is sarcasm. These should be counted by the activity of supplication. Admonition piercing the ear, and not speaking piercing the ear, and openly mocking, and mocking in a roundabout way, it is precisely by sarcasm that they are counted as they are. If what is done causes the admonition piercing the ear to become a downfall, then what? Therefore, it is said that the monk pierces the admonition. With what kind of thought? Therefore, it is said with intention. Wanting to pierce the ear, otherwise there is no downfall, this is established here. How is it? Therefore, it is said by other speech, meaning words with a meaning similar to non-admonition. Because the difference is not fully grasped, therefore here, the monk pierces all admonitions at all times, even for those who completely inquire about the nature of where to go, it should be understood as the main practice. Thus, the sutra says from this distinction, how much does the monk answer when asking others, at all times it will become a downfall. When asking others, first saying others, is other speech. For those who have discrimination, it is true to say with other meanings, thus, the sutra says in the question, with the language of the center to the border people, or with the language of the border people to the central people, saying other border areas and other speech, then commit a misdeed. If you don't speak, you commit a misdeed, that is, not

Speaking, if a Bhikshuni's instructions are heard in the ear, a minor offense is committed. If one says, "I don't remember," saying "yes" is related to the matter itself. If it is for other matters, it is not, therefore it is a reproach here. Here, some texts say that if one says, "I don't remember," then it is said that a minor offense is committed. If what is to be said becomes suffering, saying "no" means that if it is the cause of suffering, speaking of other things does not lead to a fall. Because it is like this, therefore, when asked, "Do you see what is to be killed?" one might temporarily say, "Warm yourself by the fire, drink some water, take a rest, see the sky, see the fingernails." In truth, if one says, "I do not see the sentient beings or what is to be killed," there is no fall. Where the four great elements need to be distinguished, one should not rely on that place, which means that from the topics, the second ritual is also correctly included in the aspect of questioning. Without closing the door of harm, one should not make the distinction of the four great elements, which means that drinking alcohol, etc., without closing the door of harm, is included here. The door of harm to others, such as killing and binding, is a door. Whichever door causes harm, that closing is not closed, meaning that the distinction of the four great elements is not made. Hearing the instructions in the ear is a cause of falling. Bed, cot, cushioned mat, lava, pillow, and round cushion, etc., means that there is no old age in the dwelling. A cushioned mat is one with cotton. Lava is a woolen garment with hair. A round cushion is a round cushion, etc. This is just an example, and mule hair, damask, and calfskin, etc., are also included here. Within forty-nine cubits is its vicinity, which means that starting from the direction of sitting in the dwelling, within forty-nine cubits is the vicinity of the dwelling. What is surrounded is from the gatehouse, which means that temples and house walls, etc., are surrounded from the gatehouse, and within forty-nine cubits is its vicinity. Here, the text is from the Mother Sutra, a Bhikshu outside...
