Furthermore, here it should be understood as spoken only by the seed. Here, there are seeds such as roots, so for the growth of seeds, it is also mutually reversed. This is the faultlessness of the actual matter, that is, the meaning of non-reproach. Bark, twigs, gray leaves, open flowers, and ripe fruits, etc., should be regarded as half-dead and subsequently named, that is, summarized by bark, twigs, gray leaves, and open flowers, as well as ripe fruits, etc. These are called half-dead, meaning that when they fall, they are blamed, that is, the meaning of a minor offense. Here, for things that are widely known, falling into thought is to be subsequently named. For these, half-dead things are only widely known things, so here one should not look for the cause of manifestation, that is, it is truly shown from this. Those that have become their roots, not separated from their own nature, are not so, that is, anything that is separated from its own nature, for those that become the roots of the bark and so on below, should not be regarded as half-dead and subsequently named. Therefore, excluding these things from the side, it only becomes the meaning of the actual matter. Here, the rule of bark is that peeling bark, if peeling is connected to the heartwood, it becomes a cause of downfall. If peeling is not connected to the heartwood, it becomes a minor offense, this is what is said. For twigs, gray leaves, and open flowers, as well as ripe fruits, etc., it should also be established separately in this way, this is what is said from everything. Because it involves leaves and fruits, etc., therefore, deprivation has the same nature as themselves, that is, for ripe fruits it is ripe, and for unripe fruits it is unripe. It should be known that they themselves are on the same side. Any nature of depriving flowers, that is, involving flowers, for that flower itself, it is not the involvement. Therefore, below for these things, that is, for the involvement of these things here, it should be understood as what is said. Here, the rule is that it arises immediately from the resin, if cutting and depriving, it is a minor offense. If peeling the moss of rocks, it is a minor offense.

It is said that a crime has been committed. Here, the sound called "blooming" should be understood as the blooming of flowers such as utpala (in Tibetan), and the collection of the blooming of petals. Here, what is called "rock moss" should be understood as stone moss, not filaments. Having sown the seed realm, not yet having taken root, is half-life, which refers to sowing the seed realm, not yet having taken root, and then establishing a name, which is the meaning of "committing a crime" mentioned here. Earthworms and mushrooms, as well as meat and mold on utensils, clothes, etc., are half-life, and it should be added that a name is established. It is related to the sound of mold on utensils, clothes, etc., but not to the previous ones. Vomiting bile, etc., as well as trampling and breaking branches, etc., and for mandalas and sweeping dust, etc., there is no downfall in the thought of those themselves, which means the thought of vomiting bile, etc. The unwavering intention has no downfall, therefore it is not a reproach, this sutra is to show this meaning. Relying on the basis itself, therefore here relying on burning and weaving itself is not, this should be understood as no downfall. In times of poverty, if one is bound by kusha grass, etc., and cannot be freed, even if one cuts it, the word "also" here is to follow the meaning of "no downfall." Kusha grass, etc., here the scripture is from fragmented things, because of the topic, this is only said to kusha grass, etc., for cutting off everything other than sentient beings, making distinctions, is the meaning of the word "etc." In times of poverty, it refers to the time when one has obtained the state of all afflictions. Here, if asked, with what cutting is there no downfall for what is later accomplished? Therefore, it is said "bound." If asked, with what is it bound? It is said "with that," for what is this cutting said? With what thing itself is bound, saying that thing itself, there is no this downfall, it is not so in all cases, however, if one cannot be freed, there is no place to go for oneself or others.
