If someone asks, "Is the term 'offense of forfeiture' mentioned in the Sutra?" Indeed it is, but the slight holding of it actually exists. Similarly, the detailed explanation of falling is because here it is said that holding leads to falling. If a Bhikshu receives one medicine on the first day and another medicine on the second day, then that Bhikshu should bless the earliest medicine within those seven days and discard or give away the latest medicine. Or, bless the latest medicine and discard or give away the earliest medicine. If he does not bless, does not discard, and does not give away, then when the dawn of the eighth day rises, he will commit the offense of forfeiture. As for how long to hold it? Therefore, "that" is said, meaning that which was blessed on the seventh day. That which has not been blessed is not to be held beyond seven days. Because holding what is permissible is prohibited, but it is not permissible in essence. For property and gold, it is actually permitted based on need. When will it be forfeited? Therefore, it is said, "When the dawn of the eighth day rises." Here, the standard is that which arises at the time of taking, which is actually present. Holding for the purpose of enjoying what should not be enjoyed is a transgression. Not given and received, not permissible, other examinations, other substances, and mixtures, etc., other things that have become impermissible, should not be enjoyed. Similarly, holding at the appropriate time, at the appropriate moment, and during one's lifetime, these will become impermissible due to faults, or there is nothing beyond seven days. Because here, for those things that should not be enjoyed, holding for the purpose of enjoying, this fault will disappear, or there is no blame. Therefore, it should be known that what is said here is only an example, and this arrangement should be understood. What is it? Therefore, food that should not be eaten, having passed a day and a night, here eating

It is stated that it is established as I am. It is established here that it is like eating what is edible. If one lets what is unsuitable pass the day, it is said that one commits a transgression. The meaning here is that the eighth dawn has risen. Here, a day and night is referred to as a day. Letting the day and night pass means that it is reasonable to hold here, like hearing about suitable food that has been left overnight or cooked, without any fault, but not more than that. Because it is said that for what is unreasonable, eating what has been left overnight or cooked incurs a minor offense, while holding it should be abandoned. Therefore, here, "like eating" means to enjoy. Because of that reason, there is no transgression for examining it. There is no transgression for holding it because of examining something other than food for seven days. Holding without making a decision does not completely belong to the category of food. Therefore, there is no fault or blame there. Holding without caution and forgetting mindfulness is not holding. Therefore, here too, it is not passing through this door from the meaning of what is unsuitable, which is not held by the mind. Gathering from the meaning of what is unsuitable, not relying on things, but merely abiding in a minor offense without meaning in the meaning of what is unsuitable, should be understood in this way. It is permissible to store things like pouring into the nose and applying oil, even if they are stored, because they are the same within seven days, so this should be understood. Abandoning within seven days. All abandonment is complete. For the assembly of the Sangha, knowingly stating what is not Dharma as Dharma, and stating Dharma as not Dharma, is a grave offense. Knowingly means Dharma and not Dharma themselves. For the assembly of the Sangha, going to distinguish the Sangha will cause the downfall of a grave offense. Therefore, it does not exist elsewhere. At the Uposatha, if one is asked three times, "Are you completely pure?" and knowingly does not speak while impure, one will commit a minor offense. Here are the words
