Thus it is declared. It is a relinquishment arising from attachment. What must be done to become a relinquishment transformed from a vow? Therefore, it is said that if another person vows to offer clothes to other members of the Sangha, and knowingly transforms it into their own possession, they will be in violation. It is said in the Sutra that the gains of the Sangha lead to downfall. But it is also said that if it is vowed to be offered to an individual, obtaining it oneself is the basis. A Bhikshu who transforms the gains vowed to an individual into their own possession will commit a minor offense, and if obtained, will commit a relinquishment offense. The example for this is, relying on the power of birth, what is said here as "thus established" is a statement for the individual. An individual says to themselves that they are an individual. Therefore, the point of distinction is "is it another person?" meaning, from the perspective of the action that causes this downfall, it is offered to another person, not offered to oneself. Vowing to offer to oneself is not giving. That would also result in a minor offense, therefore "another" is key, it is another who vows to offer, not oneself. To whom is the vow offered? Therefore, it is said "clothes." Just as it is said in the distinction, if one wants to obtain clothes for their own benefit, that is the situation. With whom is it taken, unknowingly vowing to offer, or because of abandonment, or because of gentleness, or who is interested in it and stays, or in any case to place it comfortably, or not giving to other offerings. Here, it is not that there is no transformation, because for the side that does not understand the seed, activities such as cultivation will not be done, and it will not be made to grow. Therefore, "knowingly" is key. The Sutra here is like "again knowingly." The distinction for this is that oneself will understand, and others will comprehend. Therefore, if clothes vowed to be offered to another by another person are knowingly transformed into one's own possession, then whatever is obtained will lead to relinquishment.

It means a downfall. If obtaining is the main practice, then what fault would there be in converting? Therefore, it is said that converting is a "wrongdoing." Here, clothing is an example, and it also exists for other things such as food. Therefore, there is also this abandonment of acquisition elsewhere. This is not something that has been acquired, this is the acknowledgment of food. For other acquisitions, converting oneself to oneself is a fault, but not for drinking. Therefore, here, being a non-relative is irrelevant. Like this, if asked, how did the World Honored One say that taking clothes from a non-relative would become a downfall of abandonment? If one takes clothes from a pure donor, then would there also be a downfall of abandonment for him? Yes, because if it is established for the sake of the Sangha, but the Bhikshu uses it for himself. Just as being a non-relative is not a limb here, the words themselves are similar to it. If the one who separates is a Bhikshu, this is what is seen. Here, for others as well, others refers to dedication. For other people, if one converts something dedicated to others to others, it also means wrongdoing. For its fruit as well, it means obtaining. If one converts from oneself to others, it is also a wrongdoing for the main practice, but not for the single combination. Furthermore, if one converts acquisitions other than food, the fault has already been stated. Here, food is what is left over, and it is said that this is a wrongdoing for conversion and accomplishment. The scripture here is like this: For food dedicated to one bowl, if one converts it to another bowl, it is said to be a wrongdoing, and it is the same for what should be eaten, this is what is seen. Separation and combination, for things that are not counted as sentient beings as well, such as dwellings, etc., which are not counted as sentient beings, for dwellings, etc., to whom this acquisition is dedicated, this is called separation here. Where one dedicates, that is the combination. Here also, dedication
