The origin arises from the matter of clothing. Regarding the aspect of clothing, namely the aspects of leather and medicine, allowing it to arise from there, the origin of leather arises from this. The medicines that the Blessed One permitted for the sick monks, that is the origin of medicine. Venerable ones, please request desire and complete purification for those in the future. Not going elsewhere because of the division of the Sangha, etc., is the origin of Kausambi. For the sake of the division of the Sangha, and other actions arising from this origin, by correctly showing these actions, those who have not obtained it remain here, these words are the origin of action. Monks, through universal desire, one should completely abide in the Sangha, this is the origin of blue and red. Through unwilling actions, etc., is the origin of abandonment. The demonstration of actions performed in order to establish transgressions, and the individual confessions of the remaining Sangha, from this arises the origin of establishing the Uposatha. The dwelling of practitioners is great, this is the origin of the dwelling place. Even if the doctrine capable of arguing is abandoned, through the establishment of transgressions and restoration, this is the origin of disputes. If there are two other precepts of the same kind that are part of speech, then they are the remainder of the Pratimoksha and the root. The demonstration of the causes of minor matters and the root dependent on maternal matters, etc., is questioning, the demonstration of conduct is the questions that tame. Therefore, from here, the increase of the Pratimoksha is not without remainder. Entering only through distinction is not the act of ordination, etc., because for these actions themselves, it is only for the sake of demonstration. If there is no elder, then a dwelling should be arranged for the younger one, if any of the fifth elders is missing, then his ritual is like this. Venerable monk, it has been sixty years since he received full ordination, if he has not recited, extensively recited, and understood the Pratimoksha Sutra, then can he also arrange a dwelling or attendant for others?

Moreover, it is said that one should abide because one abides in others. Here, even being sixty years old is not autonomous. It is said to show that there are very many, and there is no difference if there are no elders, and so on. The term "except for prostration" means that apart from making prostrations, for the precepts of abiding, elders should follow the younger ones in other aspects, which is the general statement. The term "if one is five years old and possesses the final combination, one may travel without abiding" refers to those who are five years old and fully possess the final combination of offenses and non-offenses, and they may travel without abiding. Otherwise, even a three-knowing one should not do so. Those who do not possess the five qualities and are not five years old are also included. Because the discipline on the path has declined. There, because five years are complete with the object of discipline, the transformation of suffering occurs. It is not so for those who are not of full age, and here the intention is seen. The term "even if one is a three-knowing one" refers to fully understanding what should and should not be done for the sake of abiding, and being able to completely subdue. If, because of having direct perception of the nature of reality, and because of observing the entrance through the power of knowing past lives, and because of achieving perfection by relying on minor wisdom, one is able to fully understand what should and should not be done, even so, one should abide for the sake of complete subduing. Because the term "suffering" is related to discipline, it is because it takes away the previous nature of things. For the Arhats, it is heard that the previous nature is taken away. For example, some Arhats leap and jump across rivers, and the venerable Piliṃdavatsa said to the Ganges goddess, "Do not stay," and so on. Furthermore, here one should not try to fully understand discipline in any way, because of the difficulty, and because of the many and the subtle, and because of not dwelling in one place, there are many obstacles to observation and effort.
