Those things that have become like this should be held with trust in the hands of the donor, which is called the words of thinking about the Dharma robe. The words of thinking about the meaning of the Dharma robe should be understood through examples. Likewise, it is also mentioned in the sutra that on the road, it can also be taken for the sake of a friend. For the sake of water and fire, it is said that water crystals and fire crystals can be held. Because it is inconsistent with the action, in order to keep the bodies of the renunciates alive, even if it is just begging for alms, these people are not allowed to hold more, so just conceptualization or just verbal combinations, here the main thing is to abandon, because obtaining it elsewhere will serve the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha. For those who have become degenerate and have brahmacharya, because one of the thirteen requisites is incomplete, they should be helped. For those who are poor and proficient in renunciation and have full ordination, they should be helped to obtain a bowl and Dharma robe, whatever its meaning, it is not contrary to the Dharma. Even if the owner has been away for a long time, it will not be damaged, which means that the owner, the donor or attendant, has been away for a long time, even if he has gone to a distant place, even if it has been a kalpa, it will not be damaged. For one's own sake, it is permissible to eat. It is also permissible to beg for Karshapana for the sake of poverty, which means that from trivial things, such as eating food and jewels on the road, etc., in order to avoid these, until the nature of the earth, the ultimate purpose is to beg for Karshapana for the sake of eating. It should be understood that this is not contrary to the Dharma, which shows that it is not permissible to accept what is not permissible to accept. This is stating other permissions, and likewise, other permissions should also be understood. Road rations refer to

Said (the Buddha): Five foods and five mentioned utensils, five jewels and five that are considered jewels. What are the five foods? Rice, warm zanba, meat, fish meat, and fried dough. What are the five mentioned as utensils? Foxtail millet, wild buckwheat, mustard seeds, buckwheat, and barley. What are the five jewels? Gold, silver, beryl, crystal, and pearl. What are the five considered jewels? Lead, red copper, copper, iron ore, and iron. Thus it was said. Regarding fire, a monk should place a fire flint nearby, which indicates that this is not something that is not in accordance with the Dharma. It should not be placed hidden, this is to hide it in order to eliminate the fault of destruction. It should not be shown to someone who takes it without permission. Take out its fruit and give it to him, which means taking out the fruit of the fire flint, which is called fire, and then giving the fire to that thief. Regarding water, a water flint is also the same. The word "also" here is to follow the phrase "should be placed nearby." The ritual of protection is similar, which means like the fire flint, "it should not be placed hidden," and so on. For items that are allowed to be used, the boundary of possessing jewels should not be mixed in, which means that any cooking utensils such as pots are items that are allowed to be used. The boundary of possessing jewels should not be mixed into the items that are allowed to be used. Therefore, for the nature of jewels, it is also allowed to be used here. Regarding the ritual of avoiding harm, it means that for any pots etc. that are allowed to be used, the boundary of possessing the nature of jewels, such as pots etc., should not be made, because that is not allowed. That is the meaning of possessing the nature of jewels. Therefore, for subtle details, here is the doctrine of prohibiting the use of the nature of jewels for pots etc. It is also said in the basis of the stories, as the Blessed One said: A box containing tobacco should be held. Asked: How should it be held? (The Buddha) said:

Granted. Except for what is made from the attendant jewel. One should carry a container for nasal mucus, a cup for offering drinks, a needle, a syringe, a box for eye medicine, a medicine cup, a footstool, a small bed, and a tube for medicine. For all statements saying, "One should attach a ring to an iron vessel," how should one carry it? There are words like, "Except for what is made from the nature of the attendant jewel," which were granted. Regarding "Do not possess copper, tin, a cane, or a wooden begging bowl," the word "begging bowl" should be applied individually to copper and so on. Whether one possesses them or not, if it is necessary to use them, one should use them with a medicine cup. Regarding the word "these," it refers to the begging bowls of copper and so on. Holding the statement "It is very similar to the shape of a ghee container," and rejoicing accordingly. Regarding "others," it refers to the begging bowls of copper and so on that are not possessed, and it is also necessary to use them according to the logic of medicine and a medicine cup, which is the meaning of "that." The so-called "medicine" is the main content of excluding the necessity of using a begging bowl, and these are the words that must be used with medicine and a medicine cup. If it is said that it is a fruit related to the spoken medicine, it is not necessarily used, and it should be understood that it is not so in other cases either. Here, for the scriptures that have not been placed nearby, it means, "Those should not be placed nearby." Placing means that "One should enjoy the medicine cup." There are two that can be blessed: those made of iron and those made of earth, which should correspond to the word "begging bowl." The unique begging bowl mentioned here should describe the nature of the treasures: jewels, pearls, beryl, white agate, coral, silver, gold, and the essence of stone, turquoise, red objects, and right-spiraling conch shells, etc. For "treasures," etc., use jewels, etc., to exclude glass. Mentioning "etc." is to include the relics of the Buddha, etc. And water crystal and fire crystal.
