It is also a boundary. It is not only the delimited boundary that is the boundary, because the difference is not fully grasped. Just as the boundaries between those who are not the same owner are various, so the boundaries between those who are the same owner will not become various. Therefore, it is said that the boundaries between those who are not the same owner are various. This ritual does not apply to those who dwell with many owners by the reason of kinship through division. For other boundaries, it is also the same, it is the owner. In each place, it is not a different owner. Whatever is commonly used by various kinds, speaking of common objects such as outer gates, such as the collection of villages, the house of non-Buddhists, shops, stalls, platforms for placing things, seats, enemy rooms, battlefields, centers, wooden poles for raising flags, carts, the position of the driver, boats, docks, and monasteries, the well is common. For all those who enter into it, such as householders, the masters who enter completely cut off the gates, etc., which is understood by "attachment." It is different because of the difference in wealth and views, but it is not so. For wealth, for example, the situation of brothers. For views, for example, the situation of non-Buddhists. What has been covered is the one who completely grasps. Other boundaries are also not different, and it means different when placing the place. Branches and small branches do not touch, which means that the places are different. Not touching means not touching, meaning that they do not touch each other. If it exists, the place is different. If these are not mixed, the place is the same, and this should be understood. The root is common, which means that the roots of those branches are common. The root of the root, etc. is also the same, which means that from which direction how many branches are divided, at that time, in the direction of the trunk of the tree without branches, that is the root. For it, like that, it becomes one branch or becomes many branches.

Small or large, thin or thick trees, wherever there is a single boundary, here, the trunk of a tree without branches, should be understood as the root. The word "etc." refers to the part from there down to the ground, and gathers them together. For which things the root is the same, those things are common. The discourse here is like this: what is the surrounding of a tree that does not touch branches and leaves? They are each different. What is common? It is the root that is spoken of. Trees that touch branches and leaves are the same place, that is to say, for petals, flowers, and fruits, branches will grow luxuriantly, therefore they are not mentioned separately. Trees, means tree and trees. Comparing its lower part to the upper cover, just as here, the lower part of the cover belongs to the scope of that place, so here is the meaning. Boats and vehicles are also like that, the lower part should also be understood as belonging to its scope like the upper cover. The sky does not belong to the boundary. Therefore, what is related to it, the substance related to the upper surface, should be understood as the place by these two sutras. Without boundary, means the end covered by branches, especially referring to the existence or cutting down of trees in that way, here, distinguishing is defining the boundary, without that, these are the words of not defining the boundary. Covering, means the place, there, the end of any branch is the end of the place. The scriptural authority here is that for someone entering the road, from the aspect related to the body is the boundary. What is said that the range of no more than forty-nine spans is the surrounding, and the other boundary that is said, that the body presses is only the place. Also, the reason is that for someone entering here, only the place is sufficient, therefore it is called belonging to the scope of the place, not referring to the form. Therefore, the place is pointed out. Now, in order to explain the surrounding here, it is mentioned that the surrounding refers to the range of one span around. Surrounding
