If abandoning diminishes, should one confess the downfall? The impure layperson should confess, so it is said. These three do not occur when laying on a hard surface, which means holding or relating, and placing particularly exists. The common part is finished. Then, each case will be described separately. Where does the downfall of abandoning arise? Therefore, it is said, "If there is," who has it? Therefore, it is said, "One's own," it is not for everything. Then what is it? Therefore, it is said, "Entering the ten days." When will it be abandoned? Therefore, it is said, "On the first day of the other sun," the time of entering, this ten days that is said, in the first moment when dawn appears on the first day other than that. Where is oneself, at what time does one exist? Therefore, it is said, "On the clothes." Not at all times, but within the range covering the three circles, the three circles refer to the navel circle and the two joints of the kneecap. The meaning is wherever the range covers the edge of these three circles completely. This is also not at all times, but when there is no blessing. Also, even if there is a connection, it is when there is a connection with entering. Existence itself and entering together, that is, related to entering. Self-generated and other-generated. One's own entering and being related to entering, the connection is the complete acceptance of a special place. If there is another here, starting from the unblessed one, the saying "starting from there" means that incompleteness is the main thing. Thus, it should be known that complete purity itself is on the blessing. The scripture here is asked by the layperson, the monastic vow.

If a monk's robes have been more than ten days, or have been away for one day, is there any fault? For example, if a monk's robes are continuously obtained, if he blesses the obtained robes on the tenth day, and outside the boundary, the robes are not there when dawn breaks, then, this robe is both more than ten days and away for one day, that's what it says. This is about abandoning possessions. There is no fault without a cushion, here it starts from the subtle points, like this very many have been said, this is the final destination. If you think of returning today and staying here, then do not leave without putting down the cushion. This is considering that if the time comes after leaving, you should return and stay here. If there is no thought of returning today and staying here, do not go anywhere without a cushion. If the time has not come, you should cherish what you have obtained and stay on the cushion. If you can't find a cushion, don't sleep for a long time on the robe folded into four layers. In places where it is not suitable to place a cushion, do not place a large piece of summer cloth either, meaning that in places where the monk is not present, and where both the latch and the threshold are, do not place it. Do not place it when it rains. Do not place it when crossing a river. Do not place it in places where you suspect these two situations, the large piece of summer cloth mentioned here should be applied separately here. The two situations mentioned here refer to places where you suspect it will rain and where you suspect it will be blocked by a river, if you go to these places, do not place the large piece of summer cloth, but deposit it elsewhere. If you are not with a monk, without a latch and a threshold, without suspecting rain, without a river to cross, without permission and without laying down, do not go anywhere without a cushion. The "together" mentioned here refers to being fully equipped with both of these. The so-called being blocked by a river refers to the obstruction of water flow that cannot be crossed with effort.

Indeed. The ground appearance exists, and it is precisely the absence of interruption in between. If there is no such thing, it refers to things like "together with the monks." When this exists, there is no harm in combining it with this, although rain and being with monks are not real. However, it is combined with the door latch and the place made, so it is called "sewn robes," and it abides here in this way. It also seems reasonable for someone who is not fully ordained to hold a sewn robe in their hand. If one does not stay in the place, then take out the Dharma robe and bless it, saying "the aspect of ritual," which means taking out the blessing of someone who lives in another place. Even for the clothes of a householder or despising others, one should perform the blessing. It is impossible to obtain this in the position of Dharma robes, so it is again the aspect of ritual, meaning a means. If the sewn robe is heavy, then grant permission not to separate to the elderly and the sick, which is a means of abandoning separation. If one obtains permission and abandons the offense, is that person the perpetrator? Therefore, it is said that one who has not obtained blessing and permission is the perpetrator, referring to the robe, in which the actual object of the robe is completely transformed, and each dwells closely. Therefore, it is not appropriate for the alms bowl. Regarding the blessed robe, one who has not obtained permission from another is the meaning of the perpetrator of the downfall. Here, at all times, that person is not the perpetrator. In that which is true, one should speak of where this is. Therefore, it is said that the place is connected with danger, etc. If one dwells in another place, then dawn appears. The place of that blessed Dharma robe, which is the place where one dwells, even by using it closely, one dwells in another place, not in any one place. However, when dawn appears, whoever blessed it, this should be understood as a word related to the appearance of dawn. Here, merely holding is not a place, so one should speak of the boundary here. After setting the boundary, it is said that the edge of the boundary place is like this, surrounded by curtains, walls, mist, and pits, etc.
