If it is allowed for the sake of one person, it becomes a sanghavasesa, but not for two or more. Here, according to some sutras in the Upalipariprccha Sutra, if two people are allowed to do something for the public, a sthulatyaya is committed. Here, it is reasonable that there is no offense for the sake of many, because who would say there is an offense for the sake of the sangha? So this is not the basis. Here, since it is associated with wanting something to occur very much, it is not just committing an offense. For all the objects of downfall, if branches are made, a sthulatyaya is committed. Therefore, for many things such as two, here, the word 'two' is said to exist, and it is to be known that this is the main meaning of the one. Therefore, if it is allowed for the sake of oneself alone, or another bhikshu, or a householder, a sanghavasesa is committed, because it is not specifically distinguished, so it should be understood. Does everything that is allowed to be inhabited become that? No, therefore it is said 'exceeding the limit,' meaning exceeding the limit. If it is said 'in an impure place,' then what is impure here? Therefore it is said 'an unsuitable place, and a place with disputes, and a place that should not be started are impure,' then what is the nature of these three? No, therefore it is said 'a place with minute living beings, and the place of kings and gods, and relying on the dwelling place of heretics, and trees that should not be cut down, and rivers, gorges, or wells and a fathom itself within the danger zone of the outer fathom, these are those in order,' therefore it is said. Among them, a place with minute living beings and a fathom itself are unsuitable places, relying on the place of kings and so on, and trees that should not be cut down are places with disputes, and the outside and so on are places that should not be started. Here, the sutra is, if there is now a place with minute living beings, or a place inhabited by snakes, or a place inhabited by scorpions, or a place inhabited by wandering demabukas and deladakas, that is what is said. Here, snakes and so on are minute living beings.

These are merely examples. Therefore, all of these should be included. Relying on the king's residence, etc., is to go to him. Here is the fault arising from excessive elevation. Also, the creatures and other things arising from that sound, etc., are also like that. Here, excessive elevation is harmful. Trees should not be cut down, which means that trees that should not be cut down, here the trees mentioned, because they are needed by worldly people, so disputes should not be caused. Merely being short-lived is having little need. Merely not suppressing is the fault of not being okay. One direction should also be measured, and whichever part is close to the inside of the danger zone is immediately enjoyed by others, therefore, grasp the outside, and go as much as there is in that direction. Even one has this fault for rivers, etc. Here, the text is to examine the edge of the danger zone within one fathom. If the foundation relies on a river or a cliff, it should not be started, therefore it should not be shown, that is what is said. If it exceeds what, then what is the limit that exceeds the position? Therefore, half a cubit and a span with a limit are one vyama of the Sugata. From the inside, that is the limit of twelve and seven, so it is said. That refers to this limit. One vyama of the Sugata refers to the usual saying. Inside is twelve, and the width is the limit of seven, that is the meaning. The opposite of that is not showing, if saying not showing, then what is showing? Therefore, the showing given to the Sangha is the showing, so it is said. For the work of the completely abandoned foundation, the language of obvious rejoicing is the showing. From which foundation is given to the Sangha, that is called showing, that is the meaning here. Uncleanliness should not be requested, which means having an unsuitable foundation, etc., and uncleanliness, showing should not be requested from the Sangha. One should do pure thinking oneself. Or they are the appointed monks.
