If the third of the newly ordained in the Sangha does not accept it, it should be offered to the second newly ordained. If the second newly ordained does not accept it, it should be offered to the third newly ordained. If the newly ordained of the Sangha accepts it, and the third newly ordained requests it, it should not be given to the first speaker, nor should it be given to the second speaker. It should be given to the third speaker until the third newly ordained of the Sangha confesses the transgression of offenses against the Vinaya. As for the last remaining bowl of that monastic community, one should not say to that monk, 'Monk, do not bless, abandon, or give away this bowl of yours to others, but use it slowly and gradually until it is completely broken.' It should be given in this way. The general practice of a monk holding an unrelated bowl should be done as follows: A monk holding an unrelated bowl should place two bowl containers nearby, and the one that is good should be placed in the unrelated bowl, and the other should be placed in the blessed bowl. He should take both bowls and go for alms, and if he finds dry rice, he should take it with the unrelated bowl. If he finds wet rice, he should take it with the blessed bowl. Having come to the monastery, having made a mandala, having placed the unrelated bowl in front, he should eat from the blessed bowl. After eating, when cleaning and wiping away food residue, one should also first put it in the unrelated bowl, and then do it in the blessed bowl. Washing, drying, and inverting should also be done in the same way. If the bowl has two holes, the unrelated bowl should be placed in the one that is good, and the blessed bowl should be placed in the other. If there is only one hole, if the bottom is good, the unrelated bowl should be placed in the bottom, and the blessed bowl should be placed in the hole. If the hole is good, the bowl should be placed in the hole.

The unrelated bowl should be placed below, and the blessed bowl should be placed above. When performing the task of the bowl, if there are two stoves, the better stove should be used to burn the unrelated bowl, and the other should be used to burn the blessed bowl. If there is only one stove, if placing it below allows it to burn well, then the unrelated bowl should be placed below, and the blessed bowl should be placed above. If placing it above allows it to burn well, then the unrelated bowl should be placed above, and the blessed bowl should be placed below. When walking on the road, two containers for the bowls should be respected. The better one should be used to place the unrelated bowl, and the other should be used to place the blessed bowl. If there are some burdens, then the blessed bowl should be respected, and one should respect the unrelated bowl oneself. If there are no burdens at all, then the unrelated bowl should be respected with the left shoulder, and the blessed bowl should be respected with the right shoulder. This is the act of transgression, which should be guarded with pure discipline until the end of life. This is the ritual and activity of distributing and appointing the unrelated bowl. From the time of transferring from dedication to abandonment, if a monk knowingly allows the gains dedicated to the Sangha to be transferred to himself as an individual, then he commits an offense of abandonment. In the context of what was said, a Brahmin nun asked: In a place where a monk dwells alone, if a benefactor offers gains for the sake of the Sangha, should that monk bless the gains alone? If he takes possession of them without blessing them, will he incur an offense? The answer was: He will incur an offense. The ritual and mantra for blessing gains alone are: I dwell alone in this place. The Sangha has received gains of clothing, so I will partake of this clothing. I will bless it at the appropriate time. One should generate this thought three times. Finished.
