Those who do not permit it should speak. This is the first proclamation of the act. Repeat in the same way for the second and third time. After the Sangha permits and grants it, the Sangha grants harmony to the monk of Kausambi who performs the act of repentance, along with his retinue. Thus, since no one speaks, it is held as such. Venerable Sangha, please listen. I, the monk of Kausambi, because the Sangha has performed the act of expulsion, therefore I come before the Sangha to request repentance. The Sangha has performed the act of repentance for me. I perform the act of repentance, along with my retinue, before the Sangha.
