It is not permissible to establish the combination of words by fame. What has been taken should not be abandoned. Having taken from those who are perfect in view and discipline, others should be given and nourished in order, and taking and eating some of the excess is a waste of what should be given with faith. Parents and the sick, as well as those who wish to renounce, and pregnant women, as well as those who are to be tamed, and those who wish to touch alms, and householders who come, should be given a share from that. One who eats a mouthful should leave it undivided. One should also give to animals. What is placed near for the sake of eating should not be given before it is finished. One should not invite those who are to be given with faith. The remains of the bottom of the bowl should be disposed of as one pleases. One should give torma to those who are permanently dwelling. Following those rituals, in the morning and so on. If it is a different ritual, then directly. One should not eat when the mother's menstruation has not yet occurred. Roots and trunks and leaves and flowers and fruits should be cooked, as well as rice and hot porridge and dumplings and meat and fried foods and milk and yogurt and butter and fish and dried meat, etc., are not impermissible. And soups of alfalfa and mustard seeds and roots and trunks and leaves and flowers and fruits, etc., should not be doubted as not to be enjoyed. If one abandons even with water, it becomes filtered. It is not impermissible to put it in a leather bag. One can eat tsampa in a vessel. One can also use a wicker basket. One can also use something made of stone. One can also use something made of food. Wash it like an iron bowl, etc. Washing is the work of dwelling. Also after eating. One should not eat with others in one vessel. If there are no vessels on the road, one can eat. Also with a monk. If another raises his hand, one should put it down oneself. A novice is like the one below. If one does not have it, then together. Holding the servants, give. If relatives invite, then completely in a secluded place. From those two, the destruction of giving and receiving that has been done, and the mixing of what has not been given and received, should be guarded. Bless the bowl, and after letting the hands cool. Together with shoes

One should not eat like the earth. If one is ill, one should eat while pressing down. One should not use a lamp and clothing together. For a sick person, there is no transgression. Those attendants should be compassionate. If possible, one should rely on dust food. Also includes secret places. Sitting for food, one should not let those who ask "Give from here or there" hear. For a sick person, what is suitable is without transgression. For example, like being cooked by low temperature and becoming wet by high temperature. One should generate the thought of being a sick person towards oneself, and the thought of medicine towards food, and eat closely. Also includes mindfulness. Arising, similarity, change, and resistance itself, as well as the same cause, the form of dependence, seeking, dependence on others itself, being with a sick person itself, and each going separately itself, should be established as being dissimilar itself. Because mindfulness abides closely. Because the mind is not distracted. The sound of awareness should be reduced. One should not do that. There should be no touching that does not arise. One should not make rustling sounds. One should soften the hair that grows out with water and so on. One should not have music played for the sake of eating. One should not speak as if it has already been said. One should understand those separately. If it becomes past the time, then (recite) two or three verses. After eating, recite the verses of the scriptures. After eating, offer explanations and teachings to the invited guests. After definitely knowing that everyone has finished eating. Through complete observation. If there are many people, then (start from) the first one. If one cannot, then entrust it to another who can. If it is not done, and the monks have a reason to leave, then give to at least four attendants. If that reason arises, then inform the patron. When explaining the offering, one should mention the names of Ananda and Nanda and so on. Because of the throat itself, for untimely hiccups, first discard two or three, wash the mouth, and then swallow. That is not non-food. Therefore, if others have untimely hiccups or hiccups when abandoning, then one should wash the mouth. One should not throw saliva in an unprepared place. One should also not throw it in a cleaned place. One should also not squeeze the tongue. One should not make those sounds in front of the Three Jewels and the Guru. One should also not make them in front of the one who is eating. One should also not repeatedly make them in front of the leftovers.
