It should be sent to another place for the purpose of self-repair. If it is not successful, one should wish to pray for blessings. Even if there are fewer than four people, only the affairs of the monastery are valid. Do not damage the cushion. One should smear the ground with rags, dusters, and heavy incense, set up a lion throne, light butter lamps, and arrange for people to listen to the Dharma. Sit high on the Dharma seat and look in all four directions. If you see monks coming, you should say, 'Hey, venerable ones, come quickly, today is the Sangha's Posadha or the fifteenth day of the Pratimoksha.' If the number is insufficient, you should wait until the time comes and then bless it. If there is only one person, sit alone. If there are others, it is in front. Three people sit in a row. The Pratimoksha of four people is also the same. At that time, if you know that the person living there is unable to recite the Pratimoksha Sutra, you should not participate in the Posadha. One should not approach a place beyond that place. One should not violate the promised residence, and should not exceed two months. One should strive to recite through residence, work, income, and offerings. One should greet the arriving Sutra holders with umbrellas, banners, flags, etc. The Vinaya and Matrika are also the same. At a distance of three and a half yojanas. If not possible, then at five kroshas. Or three kroshas, or half a yojana, or one krosha, or half a krosha, or even in the courtyard. Greet them with pleasant words, and then receive the bowl and Dharma robes. One should bathe. The Sangha should also receive offerings of oil. Residence and so on should also be given. One should also listen to the Dharma. One should make it clear to jealous monks that these people are the protectors of the Dharma. Without doing Posadha and Pratimoksha, one should not leave one's residence on that day. If one leaves in that way at that time, or separates from quarrelers, or meets with well-behaved people, such a departure is not allowed. One should not separate from a well-behaved monk, and should not be with a quarrelsome monk. One should not leave from a monk with others who are not monks.
