Just as hermaphrodites and bisexuals are not fields of merit for those who have taken vows and those who have not, so too are they regarded as laypeople. Therefore, just as these are not fields of merit and are not permitted in terminology, so too is food the same. Therefore, it should be understood that this is established like not generating vows. Just as saying the faults of nuns who slander others reduces the downfall, so too is it thought to be the same. Determining the downfall of speaking of people's faults. A monk who gossips is one who, with a mind of division, says to a monk, "So-and-so monk said this and that to you." In the extensive scriptures, there are messengers, etc. Determining the downfall of gossiping. "According to the Dharma" means in accordance with the Dharma. Disputes are the causes of the four kinds of strife: quarreling, not choosing, downfall, and disputes over actions. Reconciliation is making it close to peace. Furthermore, regretting what has been done means abandoning what was done previously because of doing it again. Others say that it means speaking without having done it well. Others say that, like this, the so-called regretting what has been done means causing it to be done again, because the Blessed One has clearly explained the nature of the sutras, so explaining it with the breath of one's own intelligence is meaningless. For the time being, if monks, etc., change their names, it is said to be a wrong action, because they regret the dispute over changing names. It should be understood that it is the same for nuns who change their names. Reconciling disputes according to the Dharma means that the work has not deteriorated, that the monks have reached their measure in the work, and that those who act have discipline, etc., which is according to the Dharma. Reversal is not according to the Dharma. Disputes that are not reconciled according to the Dharma are said to be wrong actions, because if it is not according to the Dharma, even if it is close to peace, it is still close to peace, so it is forbidden to regret it again, because it is not according to the Dharma, so one should not regret being close to peace.

Etc., these arguments are merely general disputes. For the regrettable offenses, it must be determined. If it exceeds five or six words, exceeding six words is for the sake of six words, exceeding the measure of five words, such as six words, for example, "The eye is impermanent." The ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind are impermanent, etc. Five words, such as "Form is impermanent." Feeling, perception, volition, and consciousness are impermanent, etc. A wise man refers to a man who is knowledgeable and understands language, because approaching him, due to caution, there is no opportunity to speak evil words. Messengers, etc., refer to those who are not intelligent or suitable. Others say it is a woman. Even if the messenger is a man, saying a wise man is meaningless. Others say that saying messenger is just saying the remainder, this is not a limb. Doing suitable things refers to a wise man. In a solitary place, considering it a solitary place, if there is no wise man, even if there is a woman, it should be known as a solitary place, because it is said that together with a woman there is the protection of solitude. Temporarily, a monk, etc., if the name is changed, there is no offense, because there is no fault. If a bhikkhuni teaches the Dharma to a woman, there is nothing inappropriate. If bhikkhunis teach the Dharma to women without a wise man, there is no offense at all. If these bhikkhunis teach the Dharma to a man without a companion, then for speaking of the supreme human Dharma, and the offenses of sleeping together, etc., it should be known that for these people, it is like for those who have not taken the bhikkhu vows. Following these, for the savings, acceptance, and subsequent acceptance, etc., of these, it should be understood that it will not occur in other natures. For those who have not taken the bhikkhu vows, eating things, etc., is said to be a misdeed, because it exceeds worldly speech, for hermaphrodites, etc.
