It also symbolizes. If you slander a Bhikshuni, you will commit the same offense. Purity means without defilement, because one does not engage in base conduct. Here, mentioning purity is merely based on the circumstances that arise. If one slanders someone who should not remain in an impure state, it will also constitute a transgression, because this way of speaking disparages the lineage of monks. For those who have not fallen, it should be understood that the word "also" is implied here. Not fallen means not having the ultimate fall. So, how is this pure? It is said that it is pure because it is free from transgression. "Without basis" means without seeing, hearing, or suspecting, and without any basis, that is, without any reason. Seeing, hearing, and needing are the three foundations, because they are the basis for engaging in correct speech. Slandering means concealing. Why? Because it is said, "In any case," and so on. "In any case" means "Isn't it possible?", which is a wish. This rival monk, practicing celibacy, refers to the substance of a monk, and not engaging in defeated conduct is the substance of a true monk. Depriving means causing to decline. Therefore, only this intention of depriving will lead to transgression, and not from other aspects. Saying the word "can" means that the tone is not strong, and it is not said only when one is free from anger. Argument refers to the argument about transgression, and the cause of this quarrel is talking about transgression. Abiding in anger means that he says, "I spoke because of anger." To show the essence of this, it is said, "Spoken because of anger," and the word spoken is complete. Regarding being mentally distracted, etc., some read it as being mute. Other Vinaya holders do not agree with this, because if slandering a mute person is considered a gross offense, then slandering a blind person, an old person, a lame person, etc., would also be considered a gross offense.

If there is any change, that is also undesirable, because it is the vessel for understanding meaning. Precisely because of this, it should not be interfered with. Therefore, if one slanders it, one should also know that this is a complete transgression. Because this outsider is outside the teachings of the Tathagata. In order to illustrate this, other names such as "heretic" are mentioned. A heretic is a naked destroyer, which is a synonym for "naked." A heretic is the path to enter the river of liberation, because they possess it. A shramana is a holder of vows, a synonym for "one who lives everywhere." Speculators are various manifestations of heretics. Those who wander everywhere are only renunciates who wear colored robes. For these outsiders, although there is no term for defeat, in relation to this Dharma, the term "defeat" can be established. Similarly, for situations such as slandering householders, it should also be understood as similar. For this, because it has not been carefully examined, it is a minor offense. For slandering beggars and the like, it is said to be a major offense, because there is no status of a bhikshu. Just as a eunuch is not a field for vows, nor is it a bardo being, so a name cannot be established, the Blessed One also said that a beggar also cannot be established with a name. Because of this, among the transgressions belonging to a bhikshu, this situation is also the same. Others say that just as a eunuch transcends worldly names, so a name cannot be established, a beggar is not like that, therefore for a beggar, there is no situation where a name cannot be established. Because of this, in the transgressions belonging to a bhikshu, just like other bhikshus, it is established as a complete transgression. Similarly, in the transgressions belonging to a householder, it is also said to be like a complete householder. Therefore, it should be known that according to the reasoning just stated, this is not the doctrine of the Vinaya holders. Some are like that

It is also considered a grave offense to accuse someone of causing the Tathagata to bleed with malicious intent, but that is not reasonable. In this way, this alone does not cause this person to lose the status of a monk, just like a monk who causes schism in the Sangha. Therefore, among the attendants, whoever accuses someone of killing their parents and an Arhat is accusing them with the defeatist Dharma. Whoever accuses someone of causing schism in the Sangha and causing bleeding with malicious intent is accused of a grave offense, but a grave offense does not turn someone into a non-monk, it is something that should be confessed, it will be explained in this way, this shows that causing the Tathagata to bleed with malicious intent and causing schism in the Sangha are not true monks, but like other monks. Therefore, separated from categories such as food, if one accuses categories such as causing schism in the Sangha, it should be determined that it will only become a Sanghavasesa. For the aspects after this, one should also keep in mind that this person is a monk, so as to understand the various offenses accordingly. Some say that whoever caused bleeding before receiving full ordination should be understood as referring to here. Because of committing the five heinous crimes, full ordination will not be established, just like not killing, etc. It is not the time of full ordination. Because at that time he did not lose his status as a monk. He is a person who causes schism in the Sangha. For a person who causes schism in the Sangha, whoever causes schism in the Sangha at the time of full ordination, and later renounces the precepts and receives full ordination, only the precepts have not been established, not the time of full ordination, because at that time he is already a monk, it goes without saying that it will be established. Therefore, it should be known that these two situations are like food, etc., because the precepts have not arisen, so they are not monks, and for those who are not monks, it will only become a grave offense, they say. If one accuses monks who do not live together, live separately, make promises, and give precepts, why would they fall?
