Regarding the Four Noble Truths. The so-called "eye of Dharma" refers to the eye of wisdom that sees all phenomena as selfless. The phrase "Kauṇḍinya, have you understood this Dharma?" is repeated twice here to express joy. Because all the hardships that the Blessed One undertook in countless eons were for the purpose of accomplishing the benefit of sentient beings. When the benefit of sentient beings is achieved, it is as if the Blessed One realizes that the hardships undertaken in countless eons have borne fruit, hence the word "then" is used. Because it abides on the earth, it is a earth deity. The so-called "abiding on the earth" is a synonym for earth deity. The so-called "proclaiming sound" means to proclaim the sound slowly. The so-called "loudly" means to generate the ear consciousness of others and emit a high-pitched sound. The so-called "appropriately" means not being separated from the Dharma, and the Dharma is the path of seeing. Moreover, because it circulates throughout the three realms like a wheel, it is a wheel. Because other ascetics and Brahmins cannot turn it, it is called "unspoken." The so-called "how much" means to speak with reason. The so-called "benefit" is because both this world and the next are blissful. The so-called "happiness" means that it can generate the happiness of liberation. The Blessed One does not hope to receive anything in return, because of compassion for the world, it is said to be for the sake of the world. Because it is a vessel for seeing the truth, it is said to be for the sake of gods and humans. The so-called "meaning" means that it can accomplish the meaning of manifesting desires, and benefit and happiness are the same as before. The body is an accumulation. The so-called "instant" and so on, refers to a woman who is skilled at weaving, drawing a thread from cotton, and the thread is completed at the same time as the arm is stretched to its limit, this is considered an instant. In an instant, it quickly arrives and makes a sound up to the Akanistha heaven. The so-called "Thangchik" is well known in two Chashakas, so it is a medium speed. The so-called "Yudzama" is well known in two hours, so it is going slowly, therefore it is an instant.

It is called "Just that." Here, the time of the collection of moments passes extremely slowly, so that the sound resounds up to the Brahma world. Called "calling by name," it means "all accomplishments." Calling by lineage is "Gautama." Called "meaningless," it means not obtaining the manifest desire. Called "unbeneficial," it is because it causes suffering in this world and the next. Called "suffering," it is because it does not attain the happiness of liberation. Those who have become young from the young generation are the young, and those who have become old from the old generation are the old. Calling by name is a designation without affectionate terms. Calling by lineage is a designation that mentions the lineage first. How to distinguish, the monk immediately, the family of the nun's unmanifested birth side, should be cut off in a common occasion of mutual understanding. It is called the city of Kusha. When the Blessed One Shakyamuni became the king named Kusha, the determined city was the city of Kusha. Called "strong," it is the royal family so named. Called "nearby," it is a place to live near the town, which is in terms of where one comes to live. What is close to it is the garden close to it, and it should be combined with the place marked by two sala trees, saying that it resides there. Both are it, and sala is also it, marked by the two, making it joyful. Distinguishing and so on, the Vinaya is widely explained, because it is not an occasion for brevity. Called "good" and so on, good is because it gives occasion. Complete mastery is because one does not forget what one has heard. Right mindfulness is mindfulness because it arises correctly. Called "relying on the inappropriate," it means relying on the inappropriate side. Called "abandoning the appropriate," it means contradicting the appropriate.
