So, mindfulness and so on, are called the limbs of enlightenment because they are in accordance with it. Mindfulness is the manifestation of meaning, that is, the Dharma that has been done, is to be done, and will be done, is called the unspeakable word. Mindfulness alone is the true limb of enlightenment. If asked what kind of characteristics it has? It is said that it relies on solitude and so on. Solitude here refers to the solitude of the body and the solitude of the mind. Because it relies on solitude and fully enters, it is relying on solitude. Relying on being free from desire for the desire realm and so on, and fully entering, it is relying on being free from desire. Because it abides in the abandonment of afflictions, it fully enters, so it relies on cessation. Because it abides in the increasing growth of qualities, it fully enters, so it is freedom from busyness, that is, abandoning the previous state of small qualities, and generating unprecedented medium and great qualities, this is from the perspective of freedom from busyness. Or, relying on solitude means relying on the activity of application. Relying on being free from desire means relying on the path of no interval, because it can cut off the attainment of afflictions. Relying on cessation means relying on the path of liberation, because it can generate the attainment of liberation. Freedom from busyness means relying on the superior path, because through understanding the superior, the qualities are completely transformed into the superior. Dharma discrimination means that understanding small, medium, and large itself is Dharma discrimination. Generating good and non-good dharmas and delighting in cessation is diligence. Joy is inner happiness. Tranquility is the ability of the mind. Samadhi is the one-pointedness of mind. Equanimity means maintaining equanimity towards entering good dharmas. The so-called true suffering, etc., the desire that corresponds to joy is true suffering, and what is consistent with true joy is the transformation of true suffering. Abodes of loving-kindness, etc.

It is the place of loving-kindness. What is that? It is said: The action of the body, that is, the conduct of sentient beings, is what is meant by that term. For example, it can be understood in this way, like the action and conduct of a good friend's body. The guide and the one who draws near, is for the sake of respectfully serving in accordance with the Dharma. Because one can particularly understand, one is wise. It is not the wise one who constantly practices virtue through knowledge, but the one whose conduct is similar to Brahma, and is also the one who draws near to those. This Dharma, etc., the action of the loving body, is indicated here by the sound of Dharma. Because this makes one rejoice, it is the one who makes one rejoice. Wherever the action of the loving body is practiced, without a doubt, the wisdom of the guru will also be practiced there, therefore, acting in the manner of a guru, it is acting in the manner of a guru. The mind is not pleased, therefore the mind is not pleased, making the mind pleased, therefore it is the one who makes the mind pleased. Because of joy, etc., joy etc. is the reason. Wherever the action of the loving body is practiced, it also generates the wisdom of the guru of the practitioner, therefore, here it is considered as the guru. For the sake of meditation, etc. Whatever is the object of the action of the loving body, meditate on the qualities of that object, meaning to repeatedly manifest or meditate. For the sake of gathering, meaning to mix. For the sake of harmony, meaning the mind becomes one. Because there is no grasping of things that harm the mind, therefore, in order not to obtain. Because there are no harsh words and rebuttals, therefore, in order not to argue. Becoming one, is the taste becoming one. The action of loving speech and the action of loving mind, meaning having the action of loving body and speech, because of clarity, is just making one rejoice etc. The action of mind, because of clarity, how is it reasonable? Here, the guru and all places of loving-kindness are joy and becoming the guru, and also not a nature that is completely unknowable, therefore, there is no fault in this, thus he teaches.
