名为“如是”者,乃由他闻之声也。所谓“经部的四类”,即长部(Dirgha Agama)、中部(Madhyama Agama)、杂部(Samyukta Agama)、增一部(Ekottara Agama)之语。所谓“大经”,乃为战胜外道之故,亦为战胜恶劣夜叉等之故。乃“大果”之同义语。所谓“大”,乃因意义深邃而意义重大也。 这些是什么呢?即八大经。所谓“如此,即是”等,乃是直接指出的那些。乃是属于那些长部等的传承。所谓“舍”,乃非处而舍也。所谓“比丘自念杀”者,乃僵尸杀彼比丘咒师自己之同义语。所谓“临近灭尽”,乃穷尽也。芝麻和芥子一小捧为摩揭陀十六两。所谓“杵头之尖端”,乃杵头之端也。所谓“谷”,乃果实也。所谓“变为混合”,乃变为聚集也。牛奶和酸奶一小捧为摩揭陀三十二两。所谓“夺取”,乃勾招之声也。所谓“变为作者”,乃变为消失,即变为不显现之同义语。所谓“ljin ljin”,乃泥泞也。所谓“汉灶”,乃烹煮之处也。所谓“达努尔”,乃焚烧之处也。所谓“直至初八”,乃冬月初、冬月中、冬月小之各月上弦初八之间,即从冬月初二十三至冬月中二十三及冬月小二十三之间之同义语。所谓“草梗之碎屑”,乃草梗之断堆,以冷水浇灌也。所谓“微小生物出生”,乃在任何时候,由暖湿而生的微小生物出生的那些时候之同义语。所谓“劫夺处”,乃城市之人,因居住于牧区也。所谓“森林”,乃茂密之方向也。所谓“由物而生”,乃由物之因也。
