Just like knowing, this is just a summary word. If you know, what's the use? (In the sutra) it is said, "If the wise despise, then do not walk on the ground." "If the wise despise" means that those wise men called "my merits" do not respect me, and give me crude food like treating inferior horses, etc. "Not walking on the ground" means that one should not live on the ground. "It is better to die quickly" means that it is better to die quickly than to be despised by those who think they know merit and live on the ground, which is a summary word. From "those who know despise" to "why are you unhappy?" Therefore, (in the sutra) it is said, "Even if the wicked despise for a long time..." "The wicked" means those who do not understand my merits, such as potters. "Even if staying for a long time" means giving me chaff and bean dregs for a long time. "If you have merit" means that if you, the subduer, have the merit of distinguishing between good and bad. "That is not contempt" means do not count the long stay of the wicked as contempt. Why? Because they do not understand my merits, which is a summary word. "The wise" means that the subduer like you knows my merits. "If despised for a moment" means giving grass etc. for a moment as if treating an inferior horse. "Silence" is the Tibetan word for the subduer, meaning "like this", which is a summary word. "If merit is possessed" means that if you, the subduer, have the merit of distinguishing between good and bad. "That is not contempt" means that if the wise despise for a moment, that is counted as contempt. Why? Because they despise me even though they know my merits, which is a summary word. "Order" means beautifying roads and cities, and the order of serving such as welcoming. "The main stem is lush" means a piece of wood with a hundred spokes. "Golden handle whisk adorned with jewels" means a handle made of gold and adorned with precious jewels. "Passed" means beautifying roads and cities and welcoming. "Remaining" means direction.
