Furthermore. The term 'impure conduct' refers to the conduct that is practiced for the sake of purity and nirvana, which is pure conduct, namely the path. What is contrary to this is impure conduct, namely the conduct of afflictions. What is that? Therefore, it is said, 'The dharma arising from intercourse,' where intercourse means the combination of what should be relied upon and what can rely. What arises from it is called 'arising from intercourse.' Dharma is a synonym for its entity. Regarding the question of 'twice, three times,' if one time is done, why is it not satisfied and done twice? If two times are done, why is it not satisfied and done three times? It is because it is not satisfied. Why? Because the objects are of the nature of plundering and are of the nature of being insatiable. Just like that, whenever one pursues objects, desire also becomes increasingly strong. Or due to the karmic force of the gandharva, asking once, 'Have you entered?', the answer is, 'I have not entered.' Asking twice, 'Have you entered?', the answer is, 'I have not entered.' Asking three times, 'Have you entered?', he says that he has entered with keen faculties. Understanding from that, below it is said, 'In the realm of women, those with wise nature have five unmixed dharmas,' and so on. Why did that gandharva not unite in the first and second stages, but unite in the third stage? Because it is due to the power of the assembly. In whatever stage there is an assembly, that is, in that stage, there is also a sentient being who dies from a good heavenly realm and enters the mother's womb, therefore it is said 'three times.' This appears in the Vinaya-vibhanga. Then, why does the Bhagavan, the Great Compassionate One, with the mind-made power, not prevent it? Because it has been determined that the increase of desire will inevitably lead to impure conduct, and disrespect towards the Bhagavan will arise because of it.
