is to meditate. The meaning of Arhat is an Arhat who has cut off afflictions, or who is no longer reborn, or who is worthy of being offered to by all those with desire. What is that like? Therefore, it is said to be free from desire from the three realms, and so on. The three realms, namely the desire realm, the form realm, and the formless realm, are the places of action and accumulation, and for the sake of going, they are the three realms, that is, all beings. To be free from desire from that is to be free from desire from the three realms. To be equal to clods and gold means to have an equal mind towards clods and gold. To have a mind that is equal to the sky and the palm of the hand means that whoever has a mind that is equal to the sky and the palm of the hand, because there is no attachment to self and what belongs to self, that is to have a mind that is equal to the sky and the palm of the hand. Like placing sandalwood, it means that just as aged sandalwood that has been polished becomes cool, it is calmed by the afflictions themselves, that is like placing sandalwood. By wisdom means by uncontaminated wisdom. The husk of the door means the husk of samsara like an eggshell, which is the nature of ignorance. Having been torn means having been destroyed, that is, whoever has destroyed the covering of the eggshell of samsara with uncontaminated wisdom, that is called having torn the husk of the door with wisdom. Wisdom means three. Clairvoyance means six. Discriminating awareness means four. To obtain means that whoever has obtained three wisdoms, six clairvoyances, and four discriminating awarenesses, that is to have obtained wisdom, clairvoyance, and discriminating awareness. Turning one's back on gain and respect for existence and desire means not being inclined towards existence and the gain and respect that are the cause of desire. Empowerment means Indra. Near empowerment means twelve suns, eight wealth gods, two sons of constellations, and twelve warriors, totaling thirty-three, so worldly people say. To be offered to means robes and so on.
