It arises from the four elements. "Aggregation" refers to the disturbance of wind, bile, and phlegm. "Daily fever" refers to giving and receiving each day, and two ways of life. After the subsequent instruction, secretly instruct, saying, "For that one who should receive full ordination, you should admonish him, 'Do not come here until you have been permitted.'" Seventh fascicle. After thus secretly instructing and admonishing, in order for the Sangha to understand the complete purity of the one who should receive full ordination, and in order to request permission to enter, the secretly instructing bhikshu should stand beside the elder, and with reverence say, "One should say these words," and so on. "Standing beside the elder, with reverence" means that whatever is spoken for the benefit of the Sangha should be spoken standing beside the elder, with reverence. For example, requests, the intention of complete purity, the statement of the distinctions of obstacles, and things done for the benefit of the Sangha. It should be understood that the Sangha in summer retreat has completed the distinction of obstacles. And stating good conduct as law, and not creating disputes, and the number of rules of conduct, and improperly using dwellings, these things that should be understood by the Sangha should be spoken standing beside the elder, with reverence. In some texts, it also says, "The one who secretly instructs should stand in the middle of the road and speak with reverence." It should be regarded as acceptable as well. "Are those obstructive dharmas completely pure?" Through the phrase "Is it only you who exist?" it indicates that the complete purity of the one who should receive full ordination should be made known to the Sangha. "Is there anything?" This phrase indicates that permission for the one who should receive full ordination should be requested from the Sangha. After requesting permission to enter, "All the Sangha should say 'Completely pure,'" regarding this phrase, "all" is to indicate that it is not without a response. "If completely pure," this phrase means "If the obstructive dharmas of the one who should receive full ordination are completely pure," the sound of this phrase refers to that which was just spoken.
