Whether it is blue, red, or crimson, the color can be changed. Or, the so-called "patching" means patching on this uncut Dharma garment with other scraps of cloth, small pieces of cloth, and half pieces of cloth. Or, if it is enough, cut it on that garment and sew on scraps of cloth and small pieces of cloth. The so-called "acting according to circumstances" means that if you find another Dharma garment of your own, you should return the one you borrowed temporarily before, and so on. The so-called "making seven pieces of scrap cloth and three and a half pieces of cloth" refers to the upper garment. The so-called "making five pieces of scrap cloth and two and a half pieces of cloth" refers to the lower skirt. These two garments should be understood from this mantra of blessing the Dharma garment. For the upper and lower garments of the World Honored One, the size of the scrap cloth has not been taught in any sewing size. To extract the mantra of the Dharma garment, one must also stand in front of the Sangha, and the two people hold it with their hands to extract it. Blessing and extracting the Dharma garment, if the Dharma garment is nearby, even if the Bhikshu is not nearby, it can be completed by observing it with one's own mind. For extracting the Dharma garment, even if the Dharma garment is not nearby, the extraction will definitely be completed. After blessing the Dharma garment in this way and putting it on, then have him prostrate to the assembled Sangha, and after that, show his bowl. The so-called "Venerable or Ayushman" means that if he is old, he is called Venerable, and if he is young, he is called Ayushman, but here it is not necessary to say both. Why show the bowl to the Sangha? It is to ask "Therefore, is it not small?" and so on. The so-called "For the three bowls that can be blessed, is it not small?" is a synonym for "Is it not small?". The so-called "Is it not big?" means "From the third size, has the volume not exceeded?". The so-called "Will it not turn white?" means "Will the bowl not turn white?". So, what is the difference between the three sizes of bowls that can be blessed? The size of the Bhikshu's bowl can be blessed.

What is suitable is that if you put in two 'breu' (a unit of volume) of husked rice, which is dry rice from the Magadha region, and any suitable seasoning, it will not fill a thumb's worth. A small-sized bowl, if half of that is put in, will not fill a thumb's worth. A medium-sized bowl can hold the equivalent of that. One 'breu' of husked rice, which is dry rice from the Magadha region, is equal to sixteen 'sang' (a unit of weight) of husked rice, which is dry rice from the Magadha region. One 'sang' of the Magadha region is equal to two 'sang' of Tibet. Thus, one 'breu' of husked rice, which is dry rice from the Magadha region, if calculated according to the 'sang' of Tibet, is thirty-two 'sang'. If calculated according to 'phul' (a unit of volume), it is seven 'phul' and one 'khyor' (a unit of volume). Two 'breu' of Magadha rice is twice that amount. The so-called 'a thumb's worth' is one thumb's width, starting from one side of the first joint of the thumb, and measuring with food to the other side of the same joint, is called 'a thumb's worth', which is one thumb's width. After showing the bowl, what should those monks say? Therefore, the Blessed One said that all the monks should, if it is not such a bowl, say one by one, 'The bowl is good.' The so-called 'if it is not such a bowl' means that it does not have defects such as being small, large, or gray. The so-called 'one by one' means that when the monk showing the bowl asks in front of each of the assembled monks, those monks should also immediately answer in this way, one by one. The so-called 'the bowl is good' means that it is beautiful, it can be blessed, that is the meaning. After showing the bowl, what should the Khenpo (preceptor) do? Therefore, the Blessed One said that after that, the Khenpo himself should bless that bowl. The so-called 'both standing, holding the bowl in the left hand and covering it with the right hand' means that when blessing the bowl and medicine, standing in front of the one standing, holding it in the left hand and covering it with the right hand, say.

Because it is an action. The mantra of medicine is uttered because it follows, and it should be known that the ritual should be performed in this way. The mantra of the alms bowl is uttered by releasing the hand covering it from above, and holding it from the mouth with one hand. For things like gold and silver that are not to be touched, they should be placed in front and blessed. What is called suitable for food is what can be used for the action of food. What is called the vessel of the hermit is the vessel of the perfectly enlightened Buddha, the solitary Buddha, and the hearers. What is called the vessel for receiving is for the purpose of receiving food. What should be done after the alms bowl is blessed? Therefore, after that, the matter of complete intimacy should be separated from the danger of hearing, and in the danger of seeing, have them join their palms and place them facing the Sangha, it is said. Separated from the danger of hearing means to move out from the position of the mandala practitioner. How far should it be separated? For the sake of secret proclamation, it should be separated until one cannot hear what is being done. Do not recite outside the boundary of the mandala practitioner. What is called the danger of seeing is where the eye consciousness of the monks will arise without diminishing. What is called having them join their palms is having them join their palms. What is called facing the Sangha is from where he sees the monks of the mandala practitioner, facing the Sangha. What is called placing is to stand with such conduct, and place with reverence. That is for the sake of generating joy, and for the sake of completely avoiding hearing the action. After that, the monk who performs the action
