Anger and, not having ignorance is said because those three are the main ones, and it is only said because they occur again and again universally. Other afflictions and near afflictions should also be included. Birth is called the manifestation of the aggregates. Aging is called the complete ripening of the aggregates. Sickness is called the suffering of the body. Death is called abandoning the aggregates. Grief is called the thought that is associated with displeasure. Lamentation is called uttering words that are provoked by grief. Suffering is called the sudden occurrence of painful bodily sensations. Displeasure is called the feeling of the mind. Agitation is called the transformation of the body, such as beating the chest with sorrow. Suffering is called the stream of suffering of the general nature shown earlier, or the suffering arising from bearing the burden of the aggregates. Thus, the Dharma taught by the Blessed One showed the arising and cessation of the afflictions that are practiced in form and formlessness because the Blessed One was particularly attached to looking at the ascetic Senaring; because he was particularly attached to desire, he showed the arising and cessation of the afflictions that are practiced in desire. Sensations that are free from attachment and accompanied by outflows do not become the cause of being particularly attached to desire, and it is also shown that they are not the root of samsara. A cool fan is called a whisk. That and those dharmas refer to the body and feelings and touch, and are mentioned twice because of repetition. Abandonment is called transcendence of sorrow, because the afflictions have been exhausted. Being free from attachment is called because the afflictions aimed at it have been exhausted. Cessation is called because the nature of the afflictions has been exhausted. Complete abandonment is called because some have abandoned the eye, etc., but there is still universal occurrence, so because that universal occurrence has also been abandoned, this shows the state of no remaining aggregates. Not taking, the mind is liberated from the outflows, which is also called from the outflows, which refers to the afflictions of the three realms.

Among these, from them, the mind is liberated. How is it liberated? Therefore, it is said "without taking," which means grasping from the gate of obtaining the remaining afflictions, which is a synonym for "abandoning." Some say, "the nature of the Dharma that never diminishes." Among these, the definitive meaning of "leakage" is: from the peak of existence down to Avici Hell, it flows or arises from the six wounds of the sense bases, or abides in samsara. The so-called "liberation" is because there is no attachment to the three realms, which is a synonym for becoming an Arhat by abandoning afflictions. The so-called "alone" means without companions, physically isolated. The so-called "isolated" means the mind is far away. The so-called "mindful" means diligently focusing. The so-called "having diligence" means having diligence. The so-called "abandoning oneself" means abandoning thoughts, a synonym for constantly desiring virtuous Dharma. The so-called "abiding" means dwelling. The so-called "sons of the lineage" means people born into the lineage. The so-called "for what reason" means for what purpose. The so-called "end of pure conduct" means the result of the path, Nirvana. The so-called "supreme" means excellent. The so-called "in this very life" means in the present life. The so-called "by one's own direct knowledge" means by one's own wisdom. The so-called "having directly realized" means having known. The so-called "having accomplished" means having obtained the accomplishment of direct realization. The so-called "exhausted" means ultimate. The so-called "practiced" means having practiced. The so-called "what has to be done has been done" means having abandoned afflictions. The so-called "not knowing another existence beyond this" means also in the intermediate state of existence. The so-called "causing to know" means causing to know. If asked what is caused to know? It is "my birth is exhausted" and so on, as previously shown. The so-called "possessing all-knowingness" means having obtained the wisdom of exhaustion and non-arising, that is, possessing the all-knowingness of realizing "I have fully known all sufferings" and so on. The so-called Arhat means worthy of offering.
