The syllable "་" means "thus," and the "་" of "thus" is also combined with the sound of "how." Therefore, just as the Thus Gone One taught the truth of suffering with its cause, so too did the Thus Gone One teach the truth of cessation with its cause. Thus, this verse shows the four noble truths. Some say that "dharma" refers to the truth of suffering, and "cause" refers to the truth of origin. "Cessation" refers to both the truth of cessation and the truth of the path, because the two are related. Thus, by accomplishing what is to be done, cessation is shown, and cessation is nirvana. By accomplishing what can be done, the path is shown, because this path brings about cessation, so what brings about cessation is the path. Others say that "dharma" refers to the truth of suffering, "cause" refers to the truth of origin, "cessation" refers to the truth of cessation, and the word "also" refers to the truth of the path. Thus, the word "also" is a word of collection. Therefore, just as the truth of suffering with its cause was taught, so too was the truth of cessation with its cause taught, which is a concluding word. The path is established as the cause of attaining cessation, but not as the cause of producing (cessation). "Categories of dharma" refers to the form of dharma or the order of dharma, which is the nature of the four truths. "In all dharmas" means that by seeing the four noble truths, it is synonymous with "stream-enterer fruit." "Without dust" is because there is no subtle increase. "Without stain" is because there is no complete entanglement. Or, "without dust" is because it appears clearly. "Without stain" is because there are no defilements, as it is said: Through the power of meditation it becomes clear, like the four kinds of hatred such as fear, unconfused wisdom, without discrimination, whatever exists, that is direct perception. And so on, as explained. "Born" is synonymous with hearing. "Seeing the dharma" refers to
