These are. The noblest of the most pure castes are like this: Nanda, Vatsa, Kiliki, Sakiliki, and the son of the black-haired one who wanders everywhere. The so-called ten superiorities are like our ten non-learning dharmas, and are the ten paths of detachment from desire of those. Some say that the so-called superiority and ten are the four great kings and the four great heavenly kings, as well as Indra himself and Mara himself. The so-called eight great men are like our eight grounds, the four meditations and the four formless ones, and there are eight other Brahma abodes of those, and in those places, each sentient being must also be born. Alternatively, the eight grounds of the great man are: sovereignty, pervasiveness, subtlety, vastness, seeing from afar, hearing, remembering, and discerning. If those exist, then they will become four actions: omniscience, gratitude, acting as desired, and unobstructedness. The so-called connector is because of the intermediate state of existence. The so-called wandering is because of birth. The so-called cessation of suffering is because of attaining liberation. The so-called ball of thread is a ball of thread. The so-called thrown from the sky above is thrown from the top of a mountain. The so-called suspended is in the eighth. The so-called falling to the ground is walking on the ground. Similarly, whether children or wise men, whoever exists in those, also in those places, in eighty-four thousand great kalpas, connecting and wandering, ceasing suffering, it is like a light ball of thread thrown from the sky above, when suspended, without stopping in the middle, falling to the ground, whether children or wise men, whoever exists in those, also in those places with the lord of the place of birth and so on, forty thousand, as said, in general, in eighty-four thousand great kalpas, connecting and wandering, ceasing suffering, and will be liberated, this is the concluding remark. Some say that the noble of the black caste wanders and connects for four thousand great kalpas, and similarly, the noble of the blue caste.

And, monks of the lion lineage, monks of the red lineage, monks of the white lineage, monks of the supremely white lineage, etc., also go through four great kalpas, and those combinations add up to eighty-four thousand great kalpas, as some say. If liberation comes from the exhaustion of time, then why practice discipline and so on? Because of doubting this, these words were spoken to those ascetics or Brahmins. Discipline means turning away from harmful actions and so on. Asceticism means the determination to eat at night and so on. Austerity means inhaling smoke and so on, turning away from celibacy. Not yet ripened means not yet become fruit. To ripen it means to combine it from the fruit. Having touched means having practiced. To purify means to exhaust. Happiness and suffering are certain, which means to reach the end. Increase and decrease are impossible, increase means exceeding eighty-four thousand great kalpas. Decrease means less than those. Therefore, both are impossible, because liberation comes only after experiencing the end of those, this is the summary. Like this itself and not other, like this itself means increase. Other means decrease. Not means impossible. Or like this itself means the order I mentioned earlier. Not other means if it is not said that way, it cannot be expressed in any way, this is the summary. Samsara is measurable, which means it can be distinguished. This dharma is like that, which means saying that liberation comes through the nature of time, and holding to extreme views, this is the summary. The form of Mipam's view has been explained. If someone comes to me and asks, "Does the next world exist?" Asking and so on, does it exist means the same question, it is holding to permanence. Like this die

It is for the sake of seeing going to other worlds. "Is it not?" is the second question, which is clinging to annihilation. Like this, it is for the sake of seeing that after death, I am annihilated. "Is it existent and non-existent?" is the third question, which is clinging to permanence and annihilation. Like this, it is for the sake of clinging to permanence and annihilation in the world of the self that is desired. For example, the Brahma of an illusionist is permanent, and what he conjures is impermanent. Some are permanent, and some are impermanent, as extensively explained in the Brahma-jala Sutra. "Is it neither existent nor non-existent?" is the fourth question, because for permanence, it is permanence itself, and for impermanence, it is impermanence itself, both are unreasonable, so it is a question belonging to the temporary. Those are merely questions about temporary existence. Specifically, with regard to those questions, similarly, four questions were stated, beginning with "if." "Is the next world just like this world, or is it not just like this world?" is specifically one question. "Just like this" means the form is just like this. The word "and" should not be understood as meaning "or," taking one of them. The word "and" should be understood as the word itself including the meaning of combining both. The word "not" is a negative meaning. Therefore, the next world is both similar to the form of this world, being just like this, and it is also not similar to the form of this world, not being just like this, because there are also slight dissimilarities, so it is both similar, and it is asked whether it is dissimilar. "Is the next world other, or is it not other?" is specifically the second question. The next world is both other than this world, and it is also not other, because there are also slight similarities, so it is asked whether it is other and whether it is not other. "Is the next world not other?" is specifically the third question. The next world is both other than this world, and it is also not not other, because it is both other and not other, both are heard.
