And so on, these are abilities. Diligence is called the joy of the mind. To generate means to have done. To delight in solitude means to delight in the solitude of body and mind. To do good means to become better. A strong bond is because accumulating many possessions makes one happy and is difficult to cut off. A stable bond is because it has been defiled by desire since beginningless time, making it difficult to separate and abandon. A non-depleting bond is because even with many methods of guarding possessions, it will not quickly be exhausted. Thick and swollen means that because one is connected to many retinues such as parents, relatives, friends, ministers, servants, and maids, one cannot accomplish things on one's own, just as the neck is oppressed by the thick and swollen part of a tree. A powerless bond is because one is not a noble person. A weak bond is because it is unstable. A rotten bond is because there is no protection. A thin and slender swelling is because the group of relatives is small. Having life means that life is meaningful, and because one follows its fruition, one says "having" because one wants to speak of it now. Aspiration means to accomplish. May ordination always increase, which means may one always be devoted to ordination. Brahmins who are very famous are those who are mainly famous. In any case, it means carelessly towards things other than the well-spoken Dharma and Vinaya. The six teachers, such as Purna, are the six, such as Purna, the son of Drobya. A teacher is one who points out benefits and harms. Not being omniscient, but having the conceit of being omniscient, means that although one does not know all the essence of things, one thinks that one is omniscient because of a false conceit. Purna, the son of Drobya, the son of Drobya is the lineage, and Purna is his own name. Kunika, the son of Gnak Lhas,

The name "son of Black Hut" is the mother's name, and the name "Sarvaga" is his own name. Similarly, the name "son of the daughter of Speech Desire, True Victorious One" is also like that. "Son of the daughter of Speech Desire" is the mother's name, and "True Victorious One" is his own name. In the name "Invincible, clad in hair garments," "Invincible" is his own name, and "clad in hair garments" is his ascetic practice, because he wears garments made of hair. In the name "son of Katyayana, with a topknot," "son of Katyayana" is the lineage, and "with a topknot" is his own name. In the name "son of a relative, naked one," "son of a relative" is the mother's name, and "naked one" is his own name, meaning a renunciate. "Relying on and abiding" means dwelling. "The nature of dharma" is the nature of things, that is, the establishment of the scriptures. "Answering the disciple" means giving a reply. "Brahmacharya" means asceticism. "What is the fruit?" is considered from the actual fruit, meaning "What is the main fruit, nirvana?" "What is the benefit?" is considered from the incidental fruit, meaning "What is the non-principal fruit, such as heaven?" "Looking in this way" means knowing, through the inner suchness. "Having spoken thus" means showing it to others through words. "There is no giving." "There is no offering." "There is no burnt offering." "There is no good conduct." "There is no bad conduct." These five negative statements negate the reality of causes. Among them, "giving" means giving for the benefit of others. "Offering" means giving for the sake of offering. "Burnt offering" means pouring into the fire. Alternatively, "giving" means the object to be given. "Offering" means the recipient. "Burnt offering" means the giver. Alternatively, "giving" means whatever is relinquished by the mind. "Offering" means the suffering of actions. "Burnt offering" means whatever is consumed by the recipient. "Good conduct" means refraining from killing, and so on.

Abandoning (the fault). 'Misconduct' refers to actions such as killing. This wrong view that denies causality should be abandoned by seeing the origin. According to the Vaibhashika school, this arises from the views of the Tarkikas and the Samahitas. Some Tarkikas see that some misers who do not give generously have wealth and great enjoyment, while some who are devoted to giving and are very generous are poor and have little enjoyment. They think, 'If there were a result of giving, then misers who do not give generously would be poor and have little enjoyment, and those who are devoted to giving and are very generous would have wealth and great enjoyment. But it is not so, because it appears wrongly. Therefore, there is no giving, no offering, no fire offering, no good conduct, no misconduct.' They see and speak in this way. Some Samahitas see that some misers who do not give generously are born into families with wealth and great enjoyment, while some who are devoted to giving and are very generous are born into families that are poor and have little enjoyment. They think, 'If there were a result of giving, then misers who do not give generously would be born into families that are poor and have little enjoyment, and those who are devoted to giving and are very generous would be born into families with wealth and great enjoyment. But it is not so, because it appears wrongly. Therefore, there is no giving, no offering, no fire offering, no good
