Therefore, those whose arms are cut off from the elbow upwards are the armless. Those whose legs are cut off from below the shin are the legless. Those whose fingers are like the hood of a snake are those with rounded fingers. Those who have no lips are the lipless. Those who have scars on their bodies are those with scars on their bodies; those who are tattooed on their hands with ink, etc., are also those with scars on their bodies, because they are marked with needles, etc., and obvious marks such as dog bites. Scars from whipping, etc., are also included. Those who cannot engage in sexual activity due to old age are the very old. Those who are fifteen years old but cannot drive away crows, and those who can drive away crows but are not yet seven years old are the very young. One who limps and walks unsteadily is a cripple. One whose thighs are completely weakened by wind, like the gait of a vulture, is a person with a defective lower body. One who has only one eye is blind. One who has only a trace of an arm near the elbow and cannot do anything with it is a short-armed person. One whose chest and spine are bent is a hunchback. One who is known to be very small is a dwarf. One who has a goiter on the neck is a goiterous person. One who cannot speak is dumb. One who cannot hear meaningful sounds is deaf. One who leans on two crutches and walks with a bent body is a crutch-user. Another term for this is a paralytic. One who has a disease of the foot is a person with a foot disease. Those who are exhausted by women, whose power and glory are depleted and whose bodies are unwell due to excessive association with women, are those exhausted by women. Similarly, those who are exhausted by burdens because they carry unbearable burdens. Those who are exhausted by the road because they travel too much. The term "ยะสะมะลุก" refers to the condition in which food, etc., is discharged downwards without being digested. Others say that one whose feet are damaged by iron chains, and who walks as if still bound even after the chains are removed, is called "one who is freed from bonds." Therefore, the first refers to the leakage of food, etc., from below, which is "ยะสะมะลุก." The latter refers to being freed from the bonds of iron chains,

It is called "Ga Krol." Alternatively, because one walks with faltering steps as if bound in iron chains, it is called "Chain Release." The term "Ta Gampa" refers to those who have not yet reached adolescence but have become weakened due to illness or other causes, and like those weakened by old age, are unable to do anything at all. From birth, their youth has declined, this is a general term. "Like that" refers to that kind of appearance. "People" refers to people with amputated arms, etc. "Great Sage" refers to one who is both a sage and a great person, therefore a great sage, referring to him. "Prevented" means prevented for the sake of ordination and full acceptance. These examples illustrate that on the basis of ordination, from the minor Vinaya and others, such as having yellow hair, having only one fingernail, being banished by the king, not being permitted by the king, not being far from the country, being known as a thief, being dismembered, being a shoemaker, a Chandalas, a menial, etc., as well as non-human beings, unpleasant northern sounds, those whose names have been changed three times, women who resemble men, men who resemble women, characteristics like scorpions, those born from other continents, those with different customs, etc., those who have defects in lineage and body, should neither be ordained, nor should they be kept close even if they are ordained. Why is that? Because: The beautiful are ordained, The completely pure receive full acceptance, The perfectly enlightened one fully knows, He declared with the name of truth. Thus it is said. The so-called "occasion for gathering" refers to the occasion when those without defects in lineage and body should be ordained. Those with defects in lineage are the lineages of shoemakers, Chandalas, and menials. There are two types of bodily defects: those of shape and those of color. Among them, those with defects in shape are those with amputated arms, etc. Those with defects in color are those with scars on their bodies, etc. The extensive explanation of the basis of ordination is complete. Having explained the basis of ordination so extensively, now we will explain the basis of the Uposatha.
