Mine. If one begs oneself, it is begging oneself. Regarding thread, some give one shuttle, some give half a shuttle, some give two shuttles. Regarding cloth, it refers to any of the seven types. Regarding causing to weave, it means to make the thing complete. If asked, what kind of transgression? (Answer:) Begging from a non-relative. If one has a non-relative weave, at the time of begging, it is a misdeed. There is no transgression in weaving. If one weaves with thread begged from a non-relative, there are two misdeeds. If a non-relative weaves, it is a Nissaggiya Pacittiya. If a Bhikkhuni begs thread from a relative, and a non-relative weaves, it is a Nissaggiya Pacittiya. If a relative weaves, then there are no two faults. If one weaves oneself, then there is only one misdeed. Giving a reward and causing to weave, and for a beginner, there is no fault. The fifteenth Nissaggiya Pacittiya is complete. The Teacher was staying in Shravasti. Sthulananda placed the householder couple in the words of taking refuge, and those two thought, "Let's offer a cloth to the venerable Sthulananda!" So they gave thread to a weaver and had him weave it. Sthulananda heard this and went to the weaver and said, "O worthy one, for my sake, please weave this cloth well!" Then, having begged alms from the Bhikkhuni Utpalavarna, she also filled Sthulananda's bowl with nine lawful things and gave it to her. Sthulananda went to the weaver, gave it to him, and said, "This cloth is mine, please weave it well according to this length and width!" Having said this, she left. Then, Sthulananda came there three times a day, and the weaver said, "Venerable, the thread is gone." Sthulananda said, "Go and beg at that house!" The weaver also said the thread was gone, and so he begged from that house three times. The householder, seeing the good cloth, hid it without giving it to Sthulananda. And he said to the weaver, "When I am staying at that householder's house, bring it!" Then, Sthulananda was teaching Dharma at the householder's house. The weaver, carrying the cloth, came there, and the householder signaled him to wait a moment. The weaver showed the cloth to Sthulananda.

Then she also took it and made a verse of giving. The hostess said: Please return it to me, please return it to me as it is, I will make offerings. He said: What is 'as it is'? Please give food. Spomga said: Do you think I will impose something bad on you? After saying "This needs to change color," she took the cloth and left. The weaver said to the master: Please give me the reward. He said: To whom I gave it, go and ask him for the reward. Spomga said: Please give me the reward. Spomga said: If you count the wedding expenses, butter, and brown sugar, you will owe me a lot more. Both of them lost hope, and the weaver was ridiculed, thinking: I wanted to help him, but instead I harmed him, so he complained. After reporting this matter to the teacher, the precepts were established. For the sake of the bhikkhuni, if a non-relative benefactor or the benefactor's wife asks a non-relative weaver to weave cloth, if the bhikkhuni has not been informed beforehand, and some thoughts arise, she goes to the non-relative weaver and says: Weaver with longevity, please know that this cloth is woven for me. Weaver with longevity, it would be good if this cloth is well woven, the width is large, there are no knots, and it is woven smoothly and evenly. Weaver with longevity, in this way, I will give you a little food or snacks or the price of food. If the bhikkhuni, in order to obtain cloth, gives a little food or snacks or the price of food like this, and after the cloth is woven, she commits a nissaggiya pacittiya offense. The others are actual. Not being informed beforehand means not being invited. Some thoughts arose, which means it was heard from Branamo. The width is large, which means the width is this much, and the length is this much. No knots means it is actual. Smooth means it is soft, beautiful, and has good patterns. Food and snacks are five kinds. The price of food is five kinds of food. In order to obtain cloth means in order to obtain it. The cloth is woven, which means it is obtained. What kind of offense is it? A bhikkhu, in order to obtain cloth, prepares food and snacks, etc., and gives it to the weaver, but the cloth has not yet been woven.
