Furthermore, venerable one, for my sake, whatever the price of clothing that has been accumulated and donated, with that price of clothing, venerable one, please purchase clothing like this, and give it to me when the time is right, that would be good. After saying this, if the clothing is manifestly completed, it is an offense of expiation. For a bhikkhuni, from "to the householder" is the same as before. The price of clothing is gold and silver, and so on. Buying clothing like this means examining the material and shape, whichever is fine. If a bhikkhuni named so-and-so comes, it refers to Stula Nandā. There, giving suitable clothing means that it can be used. Previously not instructed means previously not mixed. Some conceptual thoughts arise, meaning that one will beg like this. Buying clothing like this with the price of clothing means any of the seven. Wanting good means wanting the best. If asked what the offense is, the price, color, and size are the same as before. There is no offense in not obtaining cloth from taking thread, or obtaining a large piece of cloth from not taking cloth. The eighth chapter of expiation is complete. The Buddha was dwelling in Śrāvastī, up to "established the training rules" is the same as before. The difference is that the householder or the householder's wife each accumulated and donated the price of clothing, so it was said. The difference between heavy and light offenses is the same as before. The ninth chapter of expiation is complete. The Buddha was dwelling in Śrāvastī. At that time, Stula Nandā went to the house of the minister Brahmin Summer Giver in the morning while begging for alms in Rājagṛha. She taught the Dharma to Summer Giver, and he, pleased with the Dharma, offered sixty karshapanas. Stula Nandā recited a verse of donation and left. After three summer months had passed, she made a Dharma robe and went to Summer Giver's place. After arriving, she said to Summer Giver, "Please know that I am going to Śrāvastī to pay homage to the Buddha." Summer Giver said, "Even if the noble one has gone to the other shore of the ocean, please accept these sixty panas." Stula Nandā recited a verse and left. When she arrived in Śrāvastī, the bhikkhunis were gathered in the summer open space. Then, Summer Giver's merchant

Having given sixty karshapana coins, the merchant, residing in Nyana, went to the nuns' summer residence and asked, "Is Sthulanananda residing here?" The nuns replied, "She has gone for alms." The merchant returned and said, "Please tell her to come to me." After he left, when Sthulanananda arrived, the nuns told her in detail. Sthulanananda sent a nun to call him. Seeing her coming from afar, the merchant thought, "She is coming so quickly, it must be Sthulanananda." Sthulanananda Arrived there and said to the merchant, "Have you brought the sixty karshapana coins?" The merchant gave them to her. Then she told a young merchant's son who had newly developed faith and left. The merchant's rule was that if they did not disperse at the trading time after sunrise, they would be fined sixty karshapana coins. Sthulanananda said, "Give me the karshapana coins tomorrow." The boy said, "Holy mother, please take a little." Sthulanananda said, "That is not allowed, give them to me." She grabbed the edge of his garment, and the boy became angry, took out the karshapana coins, and threw them in front of her. Sthulanananda said, "Give them to me to count." As the boy began to count, the sun rose, and sixty karshapana coins were deducted. Then his parents said, "How much wealth have you accumulated, yet you deducted sixty karshapana coins." He said, "That is how faith in the Shakya nun changes." The householders mocked, saying, "Noble son, you cut off the sprout as soon as faith arose." They spoke these unpleasant words. After reporting what had happened to the Teacher, he established the precept. For the sake of a nun, whether it be a king, a minister, a Brahmin, a householder, a person from a town, a person from a region, a wealthy person, a merchant, or a captain, they may entrust the price of clothing to a messenger, instructing the messenger, "With this price of clothing, buy a garment suitable for the time, and when the nun named so-and-so arrives, have her wear it." That messenger, taking the price of the clothing, went to the place where that nun was, and upon arriving, said to the nun, "Holy mother, please be aware. These prices of clothing are from a king, a minister, a Brahmin, or a householder.
