They should be admonished to abandon such ways of speaking. After the nuns have admonished them in this way, it is good if they give up that behavior. If they do not give it up, then in order to abandon that behavior, they should be truthfully admonished and truthfully taught two or three times. After truthfully admonishing and truthfully teaching two or three times, it is good if they give up that behavior. If they do not give it up, then this precept should also be announced three times, which is a sanghavasesa. The term "many nuns" means more than two is many. The term "living in a desolate cemetery," in Tibetan, refers to kinds of insects. The term "they are also despised by their families" means that they are despised by their families for two reasons: having the same dwelling and the same possessions. What is the same dwelling? It is sleeping, playing, and laughing together with men. This is what it means to have the same dwelling. What is the same possession? It refers to wealth, flowers, fruits, leaves, and so on. This is what it means to share possessions. The term "practicing all sinful dharmas" means practicing all unlawful dharmas. The term "they are despised by their families and seen everywhere" means seen by the eyes. The term "heard" means heard by the ears. The term "fully known" means known by the mind. Sinful dharmas are practiced everywhere, seen, heard, and fully known, which is the same as before. The term "to the nuns" refers to joyful women and so on. The term "nuns" refers to those who have entered this precept. The term "saying this" means using gentle language. The rest is the same as before. The nineteenth sanghavasesa is complete. The Teacher was dwelling in Shravasti. At that time, the nun Tisha Guardian (by name) had committed an offense. Those nuns who wanted to help her and wanted her to be happy should remind her: Sister, you should know this, you have committed an offense, you should confess. And they should admonish her: Who has committed an offense, will they commit it again? If you have committed it, who else will commit it? Who will regret it? You have renounced from different castes and families, just as the leaves of different trees are blown by the wind, gathered together, and piled up together, you have renounced from different castes and families.

Alas! Whether you are good or bad, please do not say anything to me. Whether I am good or bad to you, I will not say anything at all. Please release the path of speaking to me. After you say, "It is okay to speak to me," request the one who shows how to do so to advise with gentle words, from doing so until establishing the training precepts, it is the same as before. Some nuns become of an unpleasant nature, and to this, the training precepts belonging to the Dharma and belonging to the Sutra Pitaka of the Sugata, if the nuns advise in a way that is in accordance with the Dharma and in accordance with the Vinaya, they do not listen to the advice, (saying) Holy mothers, whether good or bad, please do not say anything to me. Whether I am good or bad to the holy mothers, I will not say anything at all. Holy mother, please make the path of speaking to me irreversible. If (the nun) says, "It is okay to speak to me," then the nuns say to the nun: Holy mother, if the nuns advise with the training precepts belonging to the Dharma and belonging to the Sutra Pitaka of the Sugata, in a way that is in accordance with the Dharma and in accordance with the Vinaya, do not be unwilling to listen to the advice yourself, please listen to the advice. The nuns advise the holy mother in a way that is in accordance with the Dharma and in accordance with the Vinaya, and the holy mother also speaks to the nuns in a way that is in accordance with the Dharma and in accordance with the Vinaya. What is the reason for that? For example, because they listen to each other, admonish and instruct each other, and rescue each other from downfalls. In this way, the Sangha of the Blessed One, the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Enlightened One, will increase. The holy mother should be advised to abandon such a boundary of the deed of not listening. When the nuns advise the nun in that way, if she abandons that thing, that is good. If she does not abandon it, in order to abandon that thing, she should be truly advised twice or three times, and truly shown. After truly advising and truly showing twice or three times, if she abandons that thing, that is good. If she does not abandon it, this Dharma should also be expelled three times, namely Sanghavasesa.
